I work at Convergys in a town that is 45 minutes away (if the traffic is light.) I have to be there at 6:30 am, do not get off until 4:30 pm, have to drive home in rush hour traffic, then feed my 10 month old and put her to bed. I am also 5 months pregnant so all of this is wearing me out. I wish there was a better way to make money at home but everything I've seen is a scam. Does anyone else hate their job as much as I do?

Oh, I wish I had a job. I make ALOT online though, I have like $150 coming in alone from TT from referral commission lol But I prefer to also have a regular job, and I want to go to college among other things. Does your job have benefits? I have never heard of that place. :)

The job does have medical, dental, vision, 401K, basically the works. I know I am very lucky to even have a job but I just get so frustrated at being tired all the time.

I also regret leaving another job I had. I had been there for almost two years and they would have given me maternity leave for this baby due in June. I haven't been at Convergys long enough to qualify for the maternity leave so I will lose this job anyway when the baby gets here, not to mention being out of work with no money for 6 weeks. That is why I need to start making money from home so badly.

I feel you, I have through that same sentiment. But I guess I feel better everytime I see people asking money from other people. I hate traffic but I love it because it means I have to rush to my work, it means I have work! I guess we just need to open up and love what we are doing as a living :)

I can understand that. Sometimes if I just take it one day at a time instead of thinking of it in terms of a whole work week it makes it easier too.

Don't you think all this are making you a brave woman, and if you ask me I always tell people to love their job not to hate it because unless and until you enjoy your job you can't really survive.
I have some few example where the same thing happened, all this started with the discussion that its taking too much time to reach office, and after a while that thought process grew so strong that they become very rude, irrate and ultimatly left the job.
Do you want to have the same thing happen in your life. Think positive live positive very thing is going to be fine, just enjoy whatever you are doing and then see the result.

Thank you for your positive outlook. I understand that your logic is correct. Unitl I can find a better position, I need to make the best of my situation. I just hate being so tired all the time and feeling as if I never get time with my family. Soon I will be going on maternity leave and I'm sure the break will do me good.

I know where you're coming from. A lot of my friends work at Convergys and I also tried it for almost 4 months just to feel what it's like in a call center environment. Let's not kid ourselves..... call center isn't a career, it's a job. Consider yourself lucky that you don't haven't gone to the graveyard shift yet. The time and outside environment will kill you. A lot of people from convergys have been mugged specially during the graveyard shifts.
The sad part is that I think the call center business is the answer of our dear Pres. Arroyo for compensating with the lack of jobs in country. I don't even know if it's a white or blue collar job? If it were a blue collar job the wages suck and the benefits are un-enticing and most of all the work schedule is hell. This isn't a quality job rather than a quantity job.
If I were you start finding another job, you'll just deteriorate yourself there. I worked as an Operations Manager for Etel and Converg and even in that position it isn't full-filling. Truth be told, call center agents just get around $350 a month here in the Phils. For the young ones who are looking for a part-time job or maybe for the undergrads or who don't want to finish school then this is the job for them. I wish our President would be more selective when it comes to her plans regarding employment. I've seen medical professionals become telemarketers.

I worked night shift at Convergys 3-11pm. I hate slip seating but the night hours were great between 930 - 11 pm our systems were up grading. I could relax. The drive home was serene and kids in bed. If you hate your hours concider a change.

Hello. Reading that this was posted four years ago, I assume that you now have a three to four-year-old baby. I am proud to say that my first job was with Convergys. I was a fresh grad at the age of nineteen when I became a very proud call center agent. I used to work for the accounts Onstar and GMAC insurance. I stayed with Convergys for a year and a half and I'm telling you, it has been a wonderful experience. I used to go to work and take a two-hour travel one way and another two-hour travel going home. I worked nightshifts following US hours and experienced celebrating Christmas and New year in the office. LOL. It was very humble yet fun experience. I made real long time, great friends.
