This is a [poem that i wrote more from experience than anything else. Hope you all enjoy this and remember i want honesty!!
The pain washes from my body, completely away.
As she stares into eyes, with her unknowing gaze.
The world and all its wonders, surround her today.
As she is pulled from my warmth and her waters waves.
As the doctor pulls her from me, with the help of my last push.
I lay my head back breathless and listened for her cry.
As she feels the worlds cold draft welcome her today.
The joy of child birth and how glorious it can be.
How we as little woman with hold the intensity.
Once it is all over and she is here with me.
There is no need to complain or whimper.
She has completed me.

This poem is awesome! I have 2 children and the relief that you feel after giving birth is jsut so overwhelming! It's magical and perfect. The babies first cry, first breathe, first blink, first everything... WOW!! nothing can beat that experience. Thank you so much for sharing this well written poem.

All that i ever do honestly is come up with the title and it just flows from there. I think that the hardest part for me would be actually the coming up with the title more than the poem itself! I am glad that you like my poetry and i thank you for such wonderful encouragement and support coming your way to me!! God Bless!

Great poem! As a fellow mother I agree with you that True Love can be seen in a child's eyes. I can distinctly remember the first time I laid eyes on my son, he was so small but he cried so loud, that very moment I felt so proud to be a mother. Everytime he does something that made me angry, I try to remember the first time I saw him in the delivery room and I will feel calm.

only a true mother can express such a great feeling and only the loved child understands the love mothers love and how beautifully you have tried to bring out that warmth and feeling in your poem.though words can never explain the true emotional feelings they bring the closest meanings to our life. kudos to you

Love is an intense feeling of attraction between two souls in quest of getting into some emotional attachment to one another. This kind of intense feeling just holds the bond together as long as there is no external stress breaks the bond asunder. When the bond cannot sustain that kind of intense stress it automatically is snapped and the ties breaks into their former selves.Though love is a psychological matter to pursue, it is also physically related to the bond itself. Sometimes it is seen that the the psychological attachment is thr pre-condition or the backbone of physical attachment. Without psychological attachment, physical attachment does not take place. If it happens so, it can be taken that there is something wrong in that physical attachment which is generally accepted as most unwarranted.

Ohh that is beautiful :) And so true. It's funny how the pain is completely gone once we have finished delivering them. I guess this is the reason we keep having more, they do complete our life don't they :). I have three of my own and I'd never change it for anything even though originally I had only planned on having two. I cannot imagine my life today without them.

what a beautiful tribute to your little girl. Motherhood is such a gift, as our children are gifts to us, and you have definitely captured that feeling here.
