Well, truly I don't use Screen Savers. I like smooth and sober wallpapers on my PCs desktop. Why to use if my computer is always working on until I work with it.
have a nice day.

Yep, I always use screen saver though I spent most of my time in my computers. If I go to sleep, taking a shower and eating I would leave my computer. Dont you go out sometimes on the weekend or something. The screen saver are all the slide pictures in my folders. So its all changing from one picture to another.

I use the plain Windows XP screensaver that came with my computer. Most other screensavers I have used have considerably slowed my computer when I returned, though they may have been prettier. I am quite a fan of the Windows Media Plus Aquarium screensaver, if I were to go on appearance alone.

I personally do not. I've my computer set to turn off the monitor after 20 minutes if I'm not at the keyboard and the PC goes to sleep at about an hour. It doesn't hybernate cuz I run programs 24-7.

I don't have screensavers because it slows down the computer. I don't even have wallpapers because they take up valuable disk space. I bought my computer at a fairly steep price because I wanted to make it as fast as possible, so I only load it with the bare essentials.

I fail to see how a screensaver can affect the performance of a computer because it is only running while you are not using the computer. However, I can appreciate the idea of not using wallpapers or themes etcetera, even the slightest amount of system resources can make a difference on an older system.

Screen savers have always been a pet peeve of mine. I don't know why they have. When I get to my desk I want to go, not desable a screen saver.

This would only occur if you were using a password protected screensaver, which is only really worthwhile if you use a computer at work and require security.
Without a screensaver the screen will go blank and you will need to move the mouse to refresh it, which is exactly the same proceedure as you would require to cancel a screensaver.

I never have a screensaver set to "on", as I rarely leave the screen for any length of time without movement. Plus, it takes sytem resources up.
I have a few installed, but only so I can run them as executables. I use them as a visual demo or something to look at when I am either listening to music, or for the rare time I'm away from the screen for a while.

The use of a screensaver is purely a decorative matter nowadays because the modern monitor is not susceptable to the issues that made screensavers necessary. Nevertheless, I use several different screensavers.
My present one is the standard Windows XP logo, but I also have the 3D Aquarium screensaver and even the old Castaway program that I use sometimes.
