i dont mean to moderate and kick people off and things i mean moderators for the peropse of posts about mylot, obviously they would be representatives for mylot and can answert some questions and concerns its members have on here i think trhis would be a good idea, they could keep us updated about whats going on and things like that.
i know they delete unapropriate discussions but as far as i know there is no mylot representitives posting on here.

There is a sense of community here and the negative rating option is a good thing but it can be abused if someone decides to attack someone. I think a community based moderator set up would be a good idea but that too can work against them if someone has a vendetta against someone or doesn't like what someone has to say. Mods have to be held accountable for things that they take action against. Since money is involved with the site, it could make people a little hesitant against posting their views; that if their account is cancelled they will lose what ever money they have earned. If mylot wanted to put up a system with the rules clearly in place then that would be awesome for the site, otherwise it would cause a huge headache and leave some users out in the cold and with a bitter taste in their mouth. And word of mouth is what gets most people here. That can work for or against a site, especially one that is still growing.

i understand what you are saying this is why it would need to be a selective process choosing people to actively moderate the site it would need to be a neutural person who wouldnt take sides or hold a grudge against someone, after all everything we type on here is just a bunch of words end of the day, sticks and stones may break your bones but words will never hurt you.

that's a great idea!! i always have questions that remain unanswered.
I would happily support mylot if they decided to do this. Maybe you should email them with this suggestion [so it can sit in their inbox for ages as they obviously don't have the resources to cope with the number of people coming here]

On those past months the need of moderator for MyLot is really necessary to lessen spamming but due on some changes I think MyLot did very well on implementing such new rules and updating the site every now and then. Even member are responsible enough to post relevant information from their ideas and opinions. This is the proper way of being responsible so they don't need to hire any more moderators that they must pay. Instead of paying those moderators they could actually add it to our earnings, in that case we are all benefitted. There's a myLot representative if they released another alert and they are willing to serve us. MyLot has now more than 60,000 members and atleast a half of it are online they can't really attend to our query that fast. Just wait and see because they probably keeps their eyes to those unresponsible users:)

i think if a moderator is chosen then perhaps their earnings get increased by a percentage mayber 10-25% over what is normally paid out for people posting then when they reply as a moderator if the owners think it is a useful reply then they get paid if not them they dont get paid. i dont think no formal training is needed really, if they choose members who have used my lot for a long time and neutural members who dont seem to get into dissagreements then im sure it would work like that.

i did sent them a message due to problems i had on mylot but it took a long time to get a reply from them, i know people are busy and things but it dosent usually take several days to reply to someone, unless they are getting several emails with complaints and questions. If this is the case a resident moderator would be a good idea because they can ask people not to send questions through for a while or make a discussion thread for people to ask some questions.

I think that would be a great idea. It would be useful to know the answer to a few of the technical questions and it also might stop people always asking the same things all the time!

i think we should and heres my reasoning.
i see a good posts on mylot for the most part. but then you come across some very stupid and inapropriate responces that have absolutely nothing to do with the discussion. it kinda makes me upset to see people do that.
