I loved Hounds of Love, but I really love The Sensual World. The intricate melodies, the Slavic background voices, the Irish fiddles; astounding. I thought her latest Aerial was very good as well. It was sort of worth waiting twelve years, I suppose..

Oh I agree! Aerial was worth the wait. What is your interpretation of Bertie? I've read various ones on a Kate website.

Bertie is her son. I'm not sure what you mean by interpretation..

I really like Wuthering Heights. Also, Placebo has a cover of Running Up That Hill that is fantastic.

I have actually never heard of her, but they way all y'all are talking, I'll have to give her music a try. I do love female singers and find there aren't enough of them that really move me.
Thanks for the input. I'll see if I can pick up "Hounds of Love." Is she American or Irish...?

it is hard to pick a CD as I never thought about her music as separate albums, I'd have to say "the kick inside" however I think. I'm listening to her most recent CD Aerial now in fact, I do like it and am glad she recorded another album.

Yes I agree! Hounds of Love is my favorite too!
It has themes running through it.
The influences of her Irish connections and her link to David Gilmour of Pink Floyd are also clearly there.
Talented, beautiful and original. She takes you on a journey into her personal, almost surreal world.
