Candles, how do you use them?

I like candles for any number of reasons. They're pretty, they smell good, and they're a good way of using the element of fire. Eh, am I evil? I don't curse anyone, but I do use candles in healing rituals. *laughs* The use of candles in religion is widespread, among more religions than you think. What about the menorah for Jews? Advent candles for Christians? Or for Catholics, there are even more candles involved. In the ancient world, temples usually had candles, incense, etc. So when someone uses a candle when "cursing someone", they're just part of a long line of people who have used them in religious or magical ways. The fact that they are doing so negatively rather than positively is their own stupidity.

I use candles all the time.I love them.I would never use them for evil purposes.I get free candles from a site I promote then I sell them.I also make my own and sell them also.It is hard to sell when I want to keep them all.I use them everywhere in the house.I even lite one up when I take a bath.It relaxes me.

i do get some candles (decorated and scented ones ) from my friends as gifts to me. and i usually don't wanna light them because they are gifts. so, i usually put them for display. i do buy ordinary candles, too which are unscented. i only use them during those times when electricity's down (blackouts/brownouts). our house is still under renovation and a lot of things to be done first. so, i am not using candles for scents and for aromatherapy. maybe one day.

candles enhance the mood of any dining experience.although candles can set a romantic mood,the appeal of a burning candle goes well beyond that ,the beauty of flame fascinates and touches humans on an almost primal level.my theory is that this love of watching flames while dinning is ingrained into the human psyche.if you are selecting to burn while dinning,always use unscentedn candles.

i love to use the scented ones some of them can really make your house smell great but i also buy the ones that dont have smell just for looks

I think candles are great, but I am not that crazy about them at all. I would use them for the smell but not for the evil uses at all.

Well Im the queen of candles. As soon as it starts to get alittle chilly outside I start burning the candles. My favorite scent is vanilla. I like anything that smells like something sweet is cooking. My husband says Im addicted to candles.LOL I like the warmth and the smell of a candle.

I use candles on birthday. I use candles when light is gone.

I do use candle a lot. When we just relax and watch TV in the living room or when some friends visited us, we love to lit the candles for intimate and friendly athmosphere also during dinner. Sometimes, for a special occasion I put on every step of our stairs a glass with candle...my daughter loves it. And sometimes in the garden...especially during summer when we're sitting on the garden star gazing and having cup of warm teas.....so nice....

Hi happymommy3. I LOVE candles, especially the ones that smell good. Sometimes I will get a candle as a gift, but it's too pretty to light so I just have it for decoration. The regular shaped smell yones I do use though mostly while I'm having a hot relaxing bubble bath.
