I'm puzzled, when does a star rating go from 9 to 10

Last week I had a rating of 10 then a few days ago it went to a 9 which was ok, I was still happy with that.....but I just checked my rating score and it was 95/100 and I still have a rating of 9 and yet when I checked other rating scores of people with 10 I found a couple of them with 95/100. I really don't mind the 9 but I'm just wondering why others with the same score would be a 10. It really puzzles me how mylot do things around here.

I also have questions regarding this star rating that I’ve been trying to solve. When the star reputation started, I got a 7, and the day after that I got an 8. A week later, with few postings, I got a 9. I don’t know how I improved my star rating. It just happened. I am clueless what factor could have contributed to it. Then recently, my star rating says 89/100, although I still have the 9star rating. But it used to be 90/100 and days before that I think t’was 92/100. still I had no idea what made the rating drop. Now after reaching 1000posts, I got 91/100. And you’ve guessed it: STILL CLUELESS HOW IT HAPPENED.
I wonder why your got a 9 when others got a 10 for a rate of 95/100. That is so strange. The same percentage yet different star rating?! This is not right. Mylot has to really explain this.

Just hold your mouse over the star and all will be revealed, but it doesn't work with firefox and there might be other browsers as well but it does work with internet explorer. When I went down to a 9 my score was 94/100 so it looks like 95/100 is the pass mark for a 10 well it is according to others with this score anyway.

that's a damn good question and i have just joined my lot and it is really puzzling why and how the star rating goes up !
