Manager Puts Camera In Waffle House Bathroom How many people do this? The cameras are not detectable. Is it safe to use a bathroom in public anymore? Police say a manager at the Villa Rica Waffle House hid a tiny wireless camera beneath the sink in the women's bathroom. He now faces felony charges. Atlanta, GA -- The list of evidence in Villa Rica's latest crime starts simply: a rubber band, a nine volt battery, and a tiny camera. Capt. Brian Camp with the Villa Rica Police Department puts it all together, saying, "He used the rubber bands to secure this camera under the sink in the women's bathroom. If you were looking for it, you would have seen it." Police say Keith Christman, a manager at the Waffle House on Conners Road, used the wireless camera to capture images of women using the bathroom. The wireless camera would send the live streaming video to a receiver connected the restaurant's computer. Police say he would then burn the images onto a disk. "From everything that we can see right now, it was for his own personal use," Capt. Camp said.

Disturbing isn't it? But that's the way society's going nowadays. Privacy is no longer a human right, but a "liberty" and a "privilege" don't you know! So privacy goes out of the window, and society tells us "As long as you don't have anything to hide, you'll be OK", as though riding roughshod over our human rights to privacy by government is alright. And if you object, they ask "Why do you want privacy? What have you got to hide?". Disgusting playground mentality isn't it, which leads to society's acceptance of these erosions of our rights, all under the magical excuse of "the war on terror". George Orwell warned us about this sort of nightmare in 1984, and our governments seem to be using it as a blueprint, not as a warning...

It's disturbing the depths to which some people will stoop, isn't it? Who knows what he did with the recordings - the police and judicial systems ought to be doing something about this kind of abuse. Thanks for the best response by the way!

It's terrible to go to a restroom where a Camera is hidden. And what does these idiots get by doing so? They must be psycho maniacs. There is an increasing number of psycho maniacs every day under the impression of doing things differently.

This is shocking. This is one of the bad things about technology becoming so advanced. Damn the people that do this really do deserve to go to prison or something because it is very wrong. I have actually heard about videos being uploaded of hidden cameras in toilets and it is against these peoples rights. In theory they could sew for a lot of money.

That is so creepy. :/ I already have bad dreams all the time about not being able to use the restroom in private. I dislike having to think about how any of us could be being spied on in a public restroom like this. I'm so glad that this guy got caught. It makes me uneasy about the idea of using public restrooms, but unfortunately I'm out in the public enough in the summer that I really can't avoid it.

I don't think it shou;ld be allowed in a bathroom as women often adjust their clothing in a toilet , Surely there should be privacy in a bathroom , xx

It seems like this has been happening more and more lately and it is very sad that people would do such a thing. I would never do such a thing and never thought about it myself. It happens in schools, restaurants, fitness centers and other places. You almost have to go in and check before you use the restroom to make sure it is safe. This manager certainly deserves whatever time he gets in jail and then some.

the big problem is the cameras are so small that you could look all day and not find it. I think that its getting risky, if they are burning these onto cds , then whats to stop them from selling them on the internet?

This is an example of technology really hurting people. It was just a few months ago that had one in the motel, and it looks like no place is sacred at all.

I tell you what, if my family visited that Waffle house on a regular basis I would go to the police, my kids are always in the bathroom. I would demand to know if my child was one that was on his sick homemade disk then i would press charges for every child law that I could. Felony isn't enough here. That sick B_ _ _ _ _ D needs to be locked away! Make anyone else feel that if they do something like that they'll get what he does. Use that man as an example. Goverenment needs to develop more jobs in the field of investigating public areas for things like that. I know I would be happy to pay the extra tax instead of it going to a project that is unnecessary.

spy cameras are really turned to be a nuisance which indulge into ones private life. Governments should come with a suitable law against this. I think some countries have started to think on this especially when politicians were caught in some real actitivites.
