How many times you have those attempts to request for his friendship? You were inspired really with most of his topics started and you end up requesting him to have you included on his friend's list... Now, days are counting and yet the status remains pending approval... your reaction to this.

I had this happen, actually had 3 on my pending list and I don't take my "friendships" lightly. I decided that 3 days is enough, if someone hasn't responded in that length of time they are either not very active or just don't want to hurt my feelings and "deny" me. So I deleted them.

So what if you happen to request it from me and was not able to handle all requests including yours, then I might lost "on good friend" in three days time, ha ha ha. Can you not make it a week long?

If the status still remains pending does that mean he has not decide yes or no? Even if the answer is no, it would not be personal. I refuse people just purely as I have that many friends allready I cant keep up with all the discussions. You cant sayyes to everyone.

aww...you made me felt so guilty...i have to admit that i've been really busy recently and i don't really login to myLot a lot...there was once that when i logged in for 5 mins and i have 20 friends request pending. well, i'm so sorry, but i have been very selective of my friend's list nowadays and i will reject those that have response of less than 100 and have never ever responded to any of my discussions....i always respond to my friend's discussions first, so i don't want to jammed up that session with too many discussions that i don't relate too...

I agree with Freesoul in that I do not care about being popular. But, I tend to accept all requests unless there's a good reason not to. I also delete friends for certain reasons, mostly for interfering with my enjoyment of this site.
It's possible that the people you asked to be friends are not regular users of this site and may not be around much to go through their pending friends requests. Or, they don't realize they have any.

Different people handle friends list differently.. I wouldn't be offended, I will leave it there for a while and check on their profile and see if they login or not, if they login regularly and don't approve/deny me then I will delete the request myself..
personally I don't want a big friends list and I deny some or delete some after being on my list for a while depending on the quality of the discussions they start, I believe friends list is about quality not quantity and many friends who post low quality and/or never respond to your discussions are not doing you any good..

if he/she is new here in mylot maybe, he/she didn't get the attetntion that he/she has a pending request. but if a member you requested for to be your friend tends to ignore your request, ignore him him/her as well. there are almost 67,ooo members here in my lot, i think more than a hundred, will make friends with you and you can count me as one of them.

I've seen post where people ask for friendship and i will offer it if i like them.
Most haven't bothered but i can say i have at least 20 people on my contact list that do. I care about posting to 'em all because i would to make friends. which this sites about?

I'm new here but I've been on myspace and sent out friend requests which don't get answered. I think that some people just don't bother to check. They come on to do what they want and do not consider this aspect.
