i am a little bewildered with myself..cos some posts need a lot of thought and i really want to devote more time and input into them..i have so many to reply too..i feel sometimes so guilty in leaving only three and four liners..when some posts merit a much more lengthier and in deoth analysis..
i would like to try to find the right balance of quality with quantity..do any of you face the same dilemma and wonder how this can be solved within our time management quota?
i need help and good feedback...i like your advice..
i would like our posts to shine like the sun..

You have to accept that we do have limitations both in time and resources. As much as possible be concise with your responses. As long as you're sincere with what you put in, whether it be an advice or just an opinion or some comments, then you don't have to be guilty at all. I suggest though that you focus on the discussion you are answering to at the moment and do not think of the next topic until you're really at it. That way you can assure yourself that you've made a great response and that you've alloted some quality time thinking for your response.

I love your response and totally agree with you. As long as we're sincere; well put, friend. I mean, seriously a good response compared to what is written down there. I can't even begin to understand what he's trying to say, but I think he means well? lol

Sounds to me you feel like a loose canon.... You should make a choice, I think, between quantity and quality. I myself prefer the latter... I'd rather respond to 3 discussions with a well thought over aswer, than just put three liners all over... It is simply a matter of choice. If you only post because of the money - like so many people do, they start discussions over subjects that aren't worth a discussion at all - you should not tormenting yourself. I you post because you like to add your little insignificant piece to the whole of MyLot, then you should avoid the discussions that aren't actually worth your while....

Indeed I do struggle with this on occasion. For the topics that I truly have a passion of a strong voice on I try to express myself. Realizing of course that down the line that day I will have to scrimp on another topic for time's sake. Clearly, mylot is not intended for deep seated debate or strong founding theories resulting from a philosphical view. We do the best we can. That is all Mylot asks.

I don't know if this will help, but I find that the longer my mylot session gets, the more shortcuts I take and the more conversations I skip over because they would take too much thought. I think it's better to stay here for short periods, so you can go do other things, then come back refreshed.

you shouldn't feel guilty.. besides.. it not juz you who is experiencing that.. there's a lot of people here.. the new ones where i belong and those who stayed longer than us..
giving a reponse really have to be brainy.. but all i really have to say is.. be you.. juz be yourself in posting.. try not to be one that your mind can't reach.. it will only give you headaches..^^

Er.. I don't really think we needed the picture of the sun on this post, but thanks anyways! haha.
oops my breakfast has arrived so I will probably lose my train of thought on this one. And my wife is back home from her school run! hehe.
And now the dogs are barking and yapping (the one is too small to bark properly yet)...
But don't feel too down.. There are just too many things to reply to on here and it can be very difficult to respond in detail to them all. Better to respond a little than not at all I say.
Love and light.

Not all discussions need long posts and i think that it is unlikely for us to be able to devote alot of time in only one discussions. Usually the maximum i can write in one post is around 5 to 6 lines. At times i do feel guilty though. Goodluck..

Yes, I find that I'm faced with the same issue too. It's hard to juggle and find the right balance between quantity and quality. I read somewhere that one liners are not paid but sometimes there are just discussions that you have to answer with a one liner. Like for example, someone posted "do you like banana, oranges or apples?" It's a direct question with only one answer, but I always try to include "why" i prefer oranges to apples. Know what I mean? That and to be honest, I just don't want to waste my time typing one liners and not get paid for it. I guess I'm just being Chinese :D lol

well what i do is just put up 10-12 posts a day.i see to that i choose good topics from my interests and think about my answers before answering them.only when i feel totally bored up i tend to put up a few short posts.well with respect to management,we are here to have fun and it doesnt matter how many and how few posts put it.the main objective is to have fun and earn a little extra cash too.

Hi, I think taking small breaks inbetween postings is good as you start to feel lethargic! I usually answer a discussion then carry on with my own work for a little while. I do feel like I haven't done my best if I've only left a small response, but some people's discussions really only need a response of a couple of sentances! My tip is I go through each of my friends by going to their profile page and seeing what discussions they have posted, then pick out the discussions that I can answer with knowledge or experience! That way I've helped all my friends and by the time I've finished I've posted 50 more responses!

oh i was at the same league as yours before but then, i have come to realize that here in mylot. it wouldn't make any difference in responding a lot but with few liners and responding a little but with a quality deal. now i've come to realize that we can never fool out with mylot. we really have to do the job of having great discussions. if we really arent enjoying the good ol stuffs here i think its time for those people to leave. right? i took a long vacation here and now i can say my points of view is kinda fresh.

I know where you are coming from, and i feel that way alot of times while i'm here on mylot. Sometimes i just don't know how to explain myself and that's why most of my answers are shorter than i would like for them to be. I wish there was always a way to explain my opionion. I'm sorry if i wasn't that much help to you.

Some posts do take a longer time to respond to as they are more thought provoking, but for me that is one of the reasons I joined, it isn't about the money. Don't get me wrong I'm enjoying earning and want to earn as much as I can, but not at the expense of the quality. I really don't like to visit discussions that I can answer in 3 or 4 sentences and usually avoid them, not all but the majority. I want to be known for giving in depth answers, comments or opinions here at mylot. That is my groove, it isn't about how many I can post to in a day, it is about how many quality responses I can give to the discussions. You just have to find your groove, and realize what you want to be known for here. Just my 2 cents. Good luck to you here at mylot!
