The other day my fiance got off the phone, came in and says 'arrghhh 'ciao!' If I hear that one more time'. Apparantly thats how one of his mates ends their phone calls and it annoys him to no end LOL. It got me thinking about well how should people end their calls. I myself say, 'ok seeya & take care',or my mum gets 'love you' LOL. What do you end your calls with generally?

Generally I just say I have to go and when they say O.K then I just say O.k well I'll talk to you later bye , unless like you said if it is my mom or dad then I will tell them that I love them and then say goodbye to them .

For most people it is "OK, talk to you later, bye! My husband gets a Love Ya, Bye! My husband and I both say the same thing to each other when we say goodbye and I think he picked up from me.

phone courtesy has always been my trait as our parents told us to be so...but i always depends on the type of calls one gets..and for my personal calls i always end it with,"godbless","take care","thanks for calling"and "i love you for my love ones"

Aaaw lovely thanks for sharing. My friends parents used to make her answer the phone by saying hello and her name, which i thought was a bit strange especially if it was a wrong number!.

when ending calls with my boyfriend, we always end up having long goodbyes as if we never want to drop the call. but it usually ends with a "tata" tart, take care, labyou (babytalk for i love you). with my parents, ends up with, labyou and see you later! with my friends, it usually is a take care phrase. it differs from person to person. and even if i rarely notice it, there seem to have that practiced form of saying my good byes to people over the phone.

I mostly talk to a family member or my husband. I say "I love you, bye." With friends I will say, "Gotta go now, catch ya later, bye."

I usually end a conversation saying, "Ok, I'll talk to you later. Take care. Bye" But if it is my mother or sister, I will throw in a "I love you". Have you told him that you do not like the arrghhh ciao? And if it annoys him, why is he doing it to you? I would suggest that you ask him why he does it when it annoys him. Then, if he asks if it annoys you, you can be honest and say Yes! :)

I almost always say "I will talk to you later." I hadn't really thought about it until I read the post, but after thinking about it, I would say that is how I end it probably 95% of the time. The rest of the time it is either "Bye" or "See you later."
