Simpsons fans have always been a difficult lot, with Comic Book Guy being pretty much based on the nitpicking nerds on alt.tv.simpsons Yes, it's become popular to claim that it's not the show it used to be, but there still seem to be plenty of people watching. I go up and down on later episodes of it, and admit that they're hit and miss. However, there's no way I'm going to miss the movie when it hits the cinema. Naturally, I'm excited to see it, but anxious about whether it will be as good as The Simpsons was in the earlier days. Then I figure, hey, fans have been critics from day one. No matter when it was made or how good it is, it's going to get a whole stack of criticism. So, Simpsons fans, are you looking forward to it, or feeling as though it's going to be a mess that you can't stand to see?

WOW! I did not know a Simpsons movie was coming out--thanks for the info! I will def. go see it, but I agree, there is nothing like the original. I'm sure it will be great for a few laughs. IT may be kind of like South Park, where the series is hilarious, and then they made that movie and it kinda stunk. But we shall see!
