Writer, social commentator and Texas gubernatorial candidate Kinky Friedman once observed "Money can buy you a fancy dog, but only love can make him wag his tail." Whereas many people with money are happy to HAVE it, and there's little doubt that money can buy a certain amount of peace of mind, I also believe that money doesn't buy REAL happiness, merely the ILLUSION of happiness. In the end, what IS happiness? The vast majority of the world would say that happiness is a FEELING, and feelings tend to come from somewhere inside, and not from external "things" or objects we can buy. When I feel really happy, it rarely has anything to do with my bank balance, and everything to do with something that's happening "in the moment," be it a particularly pretty vista, or the first time I kiss a girl I really like...

This is a very good question. If a particular individual's reason for being happy is the wealth of material things then money can certainly buy happiness. If one is happy with abstract things, then it will be the other way around.

Peace of mind is more imnportnat than happiness and money. Money will contibute to some extent for some time to happiness, but ultimately a balanced mind is what matters.

This is a very good question. It really depends on one's perception. If happiness for a particular individual means being blessed with material things then money can certainly buy happiness. If one's happiness is anchored on abstract things, then money can't buy happiness. This is what I think.

Money can give you happiness at times, but not absolute happiness. There are lots of things far more impotant than money. =) Sure, money can buy us things that we want that makes us happy, but people's feelings and emotions cannot be bought by money. =)

I've noticed that with my new boyfriend, I have learned the meaning of not worrying about money. We often laugh about how when we get married we will have to live in a log cabin with no money and we'd still be happy. So many people take their lives for granted and live by the dollar bill. It's not way to live. People redoing kitchens, putting marble flooring down, residing their house, getting a new garage door, it's absolutley ridiculoud. They do these things due to BOREDOM and insecurity. People need to find the inner peace and money wouldn't be so important... So the answer to your qeustion is NO, money doesnt equal happiness, its just temporary puts a bandaid on pain.

Happyness can be obtained in several ways one of them being money. Though there are other better ways. Happyness can only br true without money. Otherwise they would be happy with your money not the person themselves.
