I'm so happy that I'll be getting my very first home in a few months. I'm so excited and can't wait to move in and fix up the place. I wonder how everyone feels when they first got their home or how would it feel to finally get a place you can call your own. I'm sure it took a lot of hard work and alot of achievement to get where and what we want in life. It's never easy and life never was. We all struggle at some points but it was all worth the wait and effort.

I've purchased four homes, two on my own and two with partners. The two on my own were owned outright and I ccannot tell you what it means to own your own home. There are so many positives there is just not enough time and my brain doesn't function well enough to write it all down.
I don't know you but I'm very happy for you and understand the contentment and great feeling of achievment you're experiencing and the small and large pleasures you are taking from every aspect of your home. I wish you continuing joy and happiness. No-one can take this away from you. Cheers.

When you say a place of your own, do you mean, your own appartement, or your own house? As for me and my hubby, when we first moved in our own little appartement, 4 yrs ago, we were so excited to finally have a place to call our home. It did take a lot of hard work, but the joy we got out of it was so worth it! Then, 2 years ago, we moved in the big appartement upstairs my parents in law, and we were able to do what we wanted with the place. After all, it's their house, and will be my hubby and his 2 brothers, once his parents pass. So we chose everything, from the counter tops, to the kitchen ceramic floor, even the new bathtub! It was a lot of work, and sometimes, we were discouraged (it's an old appartement and needed a lot of work) but in the end, we got what we wanted and were so happy! I wish you good luck with your new place!!

Congradulations on becoming a homeowner. My advice is, do try to do too much at one time. It,s one thing if the house just needs a fresh coat of paint on the inside, but if you want to redecorate the entire house, take one room at a time. Otherwise you might end up feeling overwhelmed.
Good luck, and enjoy your new home.

Congratulations on having your own place. I have my own home and its lovely to be able to do what I want with it, and really make it reflect how I am as a person.
