Replace current governments that refuse to make their countries economy a priority. In addition, stop big Business from going out of country to manufacture so they can hire more of their own citizens as employees.

i agree with you. countries have to start looking out for their own people and stop looking out for business interests.

I think a good start would be if the restaurants donated all their unused portions. So many places cook way to much food in anticipation of the customers and then half the time this food is simply thrown out. If there was a way it could be sent to feed the starving people in this world, I think it would make a huge difference.

If those that have the money would equally shoulder the works to distribute and create the programs needed to give people a hand up to live better lives, make more money, pay more taxes and then the systems could equalize until no would have to worry where their next meal was coming from and how they were to pay the next bill.

Well that was what the UN was meant to do. The only way is to change mankinds outlook completely and have one world government to cover everyone so that there is no profit or competition

Find a way to unite monetarily on a world level. A massive central bank. Now, of course that will never happen, so I say tax the heck out of anyone who is making millions of dollars to make a movie, and use that money to help get the impoverished villages throughout the world on their feet. Educate the children of the "rich" countries by making involvement with world poverty mandatory for graduation -- a good will trip to a third world country (funded by an organization started for the purposes of funding high school hands-on education), saving a portion of thier part-time job earnings and researching and choosing a village to send that money to, including an itemized list of how the money should be spent, or involvement with a local organization that helps homeless in thier neighborhood. I don't think the problem is going to change until those of us with expendable money lose our ignorance and channels for us to really help open up. I hate giving money to charity organizations because I never know where the money goes, but I would be more than willing to take a trip to a village and help educate, take food, build houses, or work on building clean water supplies. I wouldn't feel my kids were learning anything if they volunteered for one of those organizations, taking phone calls or doing mailings, but I know they would have a revelation if they visited someplace that is truley impoverished. Okay...I'll stop now :-) You hit one of my buttons on that one!

I do not think it is that easy to just get rid off. It will take alot of planning and money to make it happen and I think that is why no one is trying to give it a try.

I think it would be a good start if Governments stopped spending their money on arms, weapons and defence, and started to help the poor to help themselves by teaching them about agriculture, and farming methods etc.
