Carrying on from my last discussion, just wondered what type of alarm clock you use? Do you have a traditional wind up alarm clock or a digital one? Or do you just use your mobile (cellphone) as an alarm clock. I've got a digital alarm clock that I set and for back up I use my mobile! What do you use??

I'm always afraid that I won't get up! Years ago when I were a manager of a convenience store I had to get up at 4 in the morning to do the papers! I used to set 3 alarms, my digital one, my mobile phone and I used to set the phone to do a callback for about 10 minutes later - I knew then if I had to get out of bed else I would be charged for the callback!! It's always to keep a phone by your bed I think, especially for family emergencies, but I always worry about fire breaking out or an intruder and I won't be able to get to a phone if it's in the other room!

Lol excellent reply! Didn't think of that one! Although it's blimmin tempting, especially this morning when I REALLY REALLY didn't want to get out of bed after having little more than 5 hours sleep!!

In regards to an alarm clock I do not use one I mainly get up at the same time every day and that is fine with me having no problems with the time, I do own a digital alarm clock though but I have not had to set it for a long time now.

Oh you are lucky, the only time I don't need an alarm clock is at weekend cause you can guarantee I'll be awake at 7am regardless! Stupid isn't it?

We just use the cellphone anymore. That thing is so loud and anoying you can't help but wake up.We were using this little battery powered digital clock and a couple of weeks ago the batterys got low and when it went of in the morning I could not get it to stop.I nearly broke the stupid thing....so we are not using it anymore.

Oh dear, I find mine are really annoying, I set both my alarm clock and my cellphone to go off, they both go off everymorning at different intervals, but do you think I manage to turn the right one off? Nope I always try and turn off the wrong one!

Oh I've had that aswell, we get quite a few power surges and it ends up flashing - although there has been once or twice where my mobile (cellphone) has gone flat too!

I used to use a wind up alarm clock when I lived in the city. After we moved to the country, everything was so quiet except for the ticking of the clock. It began to annoy me and it kept me awake at night. I now use a digital one which is silent and it keeps perfect time.

Oh there's nothing worse than a ticking of a clock to keep you awake at night is there? That and the dripping of a tap! Thanks for your reply!

The "alarm clock" that I have been using for the past few years is actually my cell phone, because it is so easy to program each night for a differet monring wake-up time. I used to use a digital alarm clock, but have moved away from that one in my new house.

I have a digital clock/radio thing in my bedroom (which is ALWAYS set 5 mins fast.. lol) and I set that so the radio goes off in the mornings. Well, on school days anyways. On the weekend, it's usually "mmmoooooommm, breakfast?" coming through the bedroom door :)

I love sleep so much that I never used to hear the alarm ringing in my sleep. then by a couple of years of training and my addiction to cell phone i started getting up with an alarm. I use my cell phone as an alarm clock as due to my addiction to cell phone I respond quickly to my cell phone :-)
