My husband and I argued about how shopping can be a form of exercise as well. I dont know how many of you here thinks or agree with me.
I though maybe shopping can be exercise since "walking" around the mall can be the same as doing your walk outside or in the park. It gives us the same kind of therapy we get from exercise. Calm our minds, exercises our legs.. etc...
Dont you agree? Or not? Why not? Or How does shopping be related to exercise?

definitely it's an exercise!! especially if you make a whole day out of it! and trying all those clothes on is an exercise within an exercise! and don't forget you gotta use arm muscles to carry all those bags back to your car when you're done!

I think, yes, it is...
While shopping u get to walk a lot, stretch ur arms to get things, bend, lean or sm othr pose to search for smthng and so on... I think it has got all the ingredients of an exercise. It absolutely gives u pleasure which makes u happy, and happiness is the best medicine also...
So, go shopping...

It is true, that Shopping could be a fun exercise. All you have to do is do the windows shopping first to collecting the data all the stuff that you wants to buy. Then, you compare which one is the cheapest with decent quality. After that, goes back to that shop. It is fun.
But, better you bring a small amount of money, so you won't tempted to spend it all.

Because walking is an exercise, while we are in a shopping mall we always walk, look around to find the dress we are looking for. while you are shopping the mind will also relax bacause shopping time is your time for fun, to feel free, work free after your office work or studies, no hassle and worried. I therefre conclude that shopping is an exercise.

Shopping and window shopping are 2 different things.
Window shopping you walk around the mall to see what are the new products there but you don't buy any. At least you get to constantly walk around and get some exercise. Shopping on the other hand is different, if you think you're spending time exercising think again. When you're shopping you're actually purchasing something there like let's say clothing or shoes. You'll just spend the entire day either sitting down or standing up and waiting for the sales lady to get you the size and color you want. That's quite an expensive way of getting an exercise you're better off going to a gym or walking in the park or just strolling around town. Besides, exercising in an airconditioned environment with escalators and elevators is not my idea of exercise.

Shopping is a good exercise that brings anxieties in fine. Fisrt when you start shopping you are really in a nice and funny mood, you are bound to hop from one store to the other. And after few hours, when your pocket is nearly empty and we have to make few more purchases, then it induces some anxiety. So, it may not be that much good for health.

I would agree with you on that because it is exercising if you walk around the mall to do shopping.

Shopping is definitely exercise. Walking around a mall or one of the Walmart shopping centers is as much exercise as walking outside. In fact it is better for you because it is level. Not as much chance of straining a muscle or turning your ankle.

Hehe, that is very optimistic of you to think shopping is a good form of exercise..well I guess it depends on how we see it..;) I'm sure your husband wouldn't have accepted this justfication because for all men shopping is a taboo! If it's a big mall then yes, it is a good walk.
