It's official the moon effects our daily lives! I have always had trouble sleeping when there is a full moon. Wild dreams seem to happen during them. I have heard of lawyers getting alot fof calls during them. Old people and those with alzhiemers do odd and crazy things. This article comes out of England. It's an interesting read. What do you notice most when there is a full moon? Do you believe in Lunar cycles? http://news.independent.co.uk/world/scienc...icle2171687.ece

I definitely believe this. I always get my period on a full moon. I thought maybe it was just a coincidence until I watched a TV show about the effect that the moon has on people...I was especially interested in the part that said the moon affects women's periods, and those who come on during a full moon are the most fertile!
I am not sure I like this as I am definitely not planning on having children anytime soon!!

Is it really true? I mean, does it really happen especially during full moon? I thought it's just among stories of the old folks. Well, it does seems awkward to sleep at night when there's full moon. But isn't just a psychological effect? Isn't it that we're just being influenced by those scary movies wherein monsters, ghosts, witches, warewolves appear during full moon. This topic interests me. Now, i'm becoming to think this might affect us in some way or another.

I find this topic facinating, that so many aspects of life and nature are affected by lunar cycles. I don't think it's psychological, or based on movies or fears of the full moon. I really feel that something happens in the universal composition. I will definitly be looking for more research in the area, and other confirmations of what all the moon cycles affect in the world. Thank you for your comments. I appreciate them.

There have been several times when a lot of things seemed out of whack, and someone has jokingly asked if the moon was full... and sometimes it turned out that it was. I don't pay close enough attention to it to know it's coming, and yet I do believe that there's something to it.

I never used to pay attention to when it was or the different cycles of the moon, but I have really taken an interest in it the past several years. It is quite interesting. Thank you for your comments, I appreciate them.

Interesting...so if doctors notice the difference in patients, is there anything they can do for those that really suffer? Just curious. Thank you for your input on the subject. I appreciate your response.

Lol, interesting article. I was going to comment that people use it as an excuse because of all the old wives tales. But after reading the article and hearing about medical conditions and hormonal changes, I think there may be a little more to it than I thoguht. Thanks for sharing.

You're welcome. I used to think it was just an old wives tale too, until I worked in a nursing home. I have always believed though that the Native Americans knew what to do during lunar cycles. Thank you for your input on the subject. I appreciate it.

before responding I tried to check the link out and it came up as a bad link. I am not sure it does effect our daily lives or not and yes I do believe it is possible.

After working in a hospital and seeing how the emergency room was overrun with people out of control, yes I believe it affects us. How about those crazy drivers? I hate to count how many times I have either been run off the road or cut off in traffic and nearly in accidents. I try to stay in during the day or two before and the day after. Of course, I have to go to work, but I head straight home after work. I find that I get a little out of control and I get thoughts that race. Heck, I even want to howl at the moon!
If the moon affects the tides then it surely affects us. It is the pressure on the water content. The oceans have high and low tides according to the moon's cycle and so our water pressure varies.
My cycles always were according to the moon's. Somebody bar my doors!

I think it's amazing that the moon's cycles can effect so many things in our lives; from planting and harvesting to the tides of the oceans. Thanks for responding.

I'm sorry about the link meme. I tried it and it worked. Maybe I will have to check again. Yes, I've seen cops on a full moon night, it's quite amusing, lol. Thanks for your response, as always +++.

I don't notice any difference in me personally when we have a full moon but I have noticed that my children seem to be more irritable on these occasions than others. I have also heard other parents say this as well, so I think to some extent we are definitely affected by the moon.

Isn't it interesting how intricate our "little" world is when it comes to it's workings. I just find it amazing that we can be affected by the cycling of the moon. Thanks for responding. I appreciate it.

Having worked in foodservice and retail, I can tell you, the moon definitely affects behavior. You could always tell when a full moon was on the horizon, it seemed all of the strange people would crawl out of the woodwork, or otherwise normal, pleasant customers would become difficult and rude. I also notice that our animals behave quite differently with each lunar cycle, the cats go bonkers, the dog barks at things that aren't there, and the level of static electricity in our home climbs dramatically.

I'm going to have to watch my animals and see if they behave differently. I never thought of that. That's very strange about the static electricity in your home, though. I am very intrigued. I think I'm gonna go on "moon" duty and see what all I can actually notice. Thanks for your input.

I believe it has an effect as well. I find it facinating how much we as a society rely on the moon's cycles. Thanks for your input. I appreciate it.

It is well known that the Moon affects behaviour. When the full Moon is visible, the gravitational pull affects the tide in the ocean and the sea level goes up. Similarly it affects the fluids in the body. Sometimes the fluids behind the ears which affects our balance.

I have always believed that the moon affected my life and we have no history of werewolves in our family tree. LOL. Thank for the intersting article.

I would believe it. I worked in a elderly care facility for a while, and let me tell you it was crazy during a full moon. Very interesting. Thanks for sharing.

It's a pretty interesting article to say the least. I always thought there was something to be said about moon cycles, but I too have to say that after reading the article, I am taking it more seriously now. Thanks for the response. I appreciate it.

I had a friend who was a nurse at a psyatric hospital. She said that when there was afull moon, you never turned your back on the patients. They were worse on night of full moon. They all acted up.
