All my keyboards are wireless and all of them are Logitech. The oldest one is already 5 years old and still working. It comes with a wireless ball mouse and the mouse is still smooth. My brother, friends and girlfriend are pretty reckless when they handle the keyboard but it's still okay.

I have a wireless keyboard I use with my new Dell computer. It works really well. Some people don't realize that the transmitter for the keyboard runs on batteries and the keyboard also runs on batteries. Also, the mouse itself takes batteries. When my keyboard started running out of battery power, I first noticed that I would start to type a word and only a letter or two would show up. Then I could type another few letters, etc. It finally dawned on me that the keyboard needed new batteries, which were very each to replace. The transmitter is more obvious when it needs new batteries. It just stops suddenly and you can't operate your keyboard at all until you replace the batteries in the transmitter. The mouse has a light that goes out when it needs batteries.
It probably sounds like a big nuisance to keep all these batteries working, but they really don't run out of power very often and the convenience of operating without wires attached to my mouse makes it worthwhile.
