Do you need more friends? Advice on how to get more quality friends here!!

There are lots of discussions on here now saying I need more 'friends'. I then look on the persons profile and see that their discussions are pretty poor.
My advice to those who want more friends is:-
Post some good discussions, not just one liners but good 'get your teeth into' ones (when people look at your profile they will know that you're going to be a good friend)
Answer at least one of your friends discussions per day - I choose friends who post good discussions, so I know that I can find at least a few quality discussions per day!
I'm sure my friends can think of more tips too! Whats your tip for a newbie who needs friends??

My tip is to choose Bizziebod, she always starts a great discussion! I love to check "discussions my friends have started" and find yours. There are 2 or 3 others that I like also. Your posts are primo and I know I'll be interested in what you have to say. Newbies (I am too), pick your friends based on what they post. Does it interest you? Then choose them, don't just choose a ton of people haphazardly.

Hi yes you are right what you are saying here in regards to discussions and not just one liners that is not giving us any thing to think about to respond in a positive manner. I think for a newbie my tip would be to make sure that when doing there discussions to also make sure they smell the word out properly and not to make short cuts I have seen quite a lot of newbies doing this and therefore they are not giving their discussions enough information.

I only post discussion which. (A) i'd reply to, if i hadn't posted it. (B) Sharing about about myself and then asking a question (visa versa) (C) Aim towards having a good discussion which will be appreciate by people who aren't just on my list.
I've got alot of people i'd count as friends on here and i will post to there. This is a good post because it will help peole including myself!
