I was so amazed by this movie. I was brought down to tears and found moments of joy and moments of sadness and lonely feelings. I couldn't believe that a movie could move my emotions about so much.
I am totally shocked. I don't even know what to say. But I would love to learn more about the situation in this African nation. If anyone has any suggestions for things I might watch similar to this, or even locations of great information on this even I would be grateful.
Paul Rusesagabina must be some amazing guy to meet, and I must commend Don Cheadle for bringing his character to my heart.
Full plaudits for this one.

i had seen this movie 3 months ago but i can still remember what's happening in Rwanda during the war of Hutu and Tutsi...I can't imagine that it will happen in a country specially under develop...they killed their co-countrymen which it should not happen...i admired paul for helping regardless of their tribes.

If you liked "Hotel Rwanda", then I would suggest you to try:
1) The Constant Gardener
2) Blood Diamond
3) The Last King of Scotland
They may not have the same subject matter as "Hotel Rwanda", but they all deal with African issues.

I suggest that you watch PARADISE ROAD. It is a 1997 film about women and children captured by the Japanese during World War II.

It's not a movie (yet, although I'm sure it will be at some point) but I highly suggest reading the book Left To Tell by Immaculée Ilibagiza. It is her story of surviving the Rwandan Holocaust and is absolutely amazing! It will totally reduce you to tears. I met the author in person in Toronto and it was a spiritual experience to talk with her and get her autograph and listen to her speak.
