Why are people so angry with Muslims?

Like alot of things in life...the selective few ruin it more the majority. Media loves gossip and bd news stories, so they get to enhance it. The public ignorantly watch the news and believe what is said.

The people who hate muslims are ignorant and think that all Muslims are bad. Most of the educated people know that all Muslims are not bad. About your covering your face in US. People may look in surprise specially in this century. Cheating or temptation can not be removed by covering faces of women. Women have right to see world the same way men are seeing.

Well its hard to ignore those that blow stuff up when the moderate Muslim community wont stand up against it or condemn it. And also when there are so many that support the terrorists and their actions as Islamic and religiously inspired. So its a pretty heavy mixed message we get. The hijab thing doesnt bother me, its the idea of pushing that behavior on others that does. See the hijab in the Muslim world now has transformed the social views on temptation, and now women are blamed for their own rape, which is completely not right. Even in Australia there are imams talking like this, and many in Pakistan, Iran, and other countries under Sharia especially.

Islam manifests the strong belief in God and the courage to protect their brethrens and the guts to fight for their principles. Maybe the reason why other religions don't understand it is because most Muslim terrorize our society becuase of what they are fighting for. I am Christian but I do understand Muslims... I respect them just like I respect any other beliefs. Let us not forget we only have one God, only with different names.

Asalaam Alaikum Nafisah I agree with you I am too muslim and i cover my face. We are living in a time where it is strange to be covered but normal to be naked. Something is wrong with that picture. You mean to tell me that 6 inches extra material defines me when you see someone else walking down the street with a pair of thongs and topless.

I think that you should what ever you like. If you want to cover your face, then cover your face. No one can tell you something else. If that is what you truly believe in, then do it. There is no law against muslims that cover their face. USA is a free country, and you are aloud to do whatever you want as long you don't hurt no one. Just go with your heart.

Try not to let other people bother you. You do what you seem is the right thing to do. It doesn't matter to most people if you cover yourself or not. People just pick on others if they don't understand them. I get stared at too funny a lot. It's just the fact that people can be cruel. Also there is a lot of hatred towards others who might try to pull another Sept. 11th deal. Don't worry about it. Stand strong on what you believe and be happy.

Muslim extremists have etched a very negative image of Islam into the minds of people from other religions. Like all other religions Islam should also be given its due space in accepting the extremism as extremism and not the mainstream religion itself! Islam does not teach war or hatred. It is a religion of peace and let me take this opportunity to tell you all that The holy Prophet Mohammad PBUH spread this religion with love and humility. He never forced anyone to accept ISLAM but he Attracted the people through His Well being and good behaviour towards Humanity.

If people cannot resist cheating because they can see your face then that are not worthy of the woman or women they are involved with. And if you have no intention of cheating on YOUR husband, then you should have no need to cover your face... coz no matter how beautiful you may be, the man who feels like having you cannot. It takes two to tango... and that's the same in all religions... it's humankind behaviour. No point talking about the "true" islam, when Islamics are obviously confused about their religion so much that there are so many different factions of the religion (some of which are violent terrorists and murderers)... Ignorance, ignorance, ignorance. The majority of the people that dislike muslims solely because they're muslims don't know the first thing about Islam. They base everything they know about it around the extremists and terrorists, which is really all the news will show. It's sad really.

Hi Nafisah, I think you are right sometimes it feels awkward, I live in UK and after the blasts last year the police checked me on every street as I have beared and long hairs which in Islam called (Zulfain) I think Muslims should have some respect around the world. I mean just because of few Muslims who are doing bad things the whole world is thinking that all the muslims are terrorists. And about your Hijab you do it is quite good I think all members in Family also do it but my sister dont cover her face she wears Scarf, and as we know that Islam gives the permission that a womans face might be seen so my family dont have any issues with scarf but she wears ABAYA on top of her clothes as well. Which makes me comfortable that no one is watching my sister. I think all of the families should tell thier women to wear Hijab and cover thier bodies which will make you comfortable and you wont be feeling awkward walking on the road. What do you say

The reason why you are being stared at is the same reason why you will be stared at or in some areas hounded by the police if you go with your face uncovered in Saudi Arabia. In Saudi they live their way and insist on their way to everybody. So why not tolerate a few stares. Also please note that like the Prophets time there are no bandits to carry away beautiful girls in the present days.

hi, i'm also a muslim and wear hijab(but i don't cover my face).well, i also think about the stuff (cover the face). i refer to imam syafie, it says we are not going to be forced to cover our face as long as it won't bring some harm. as an example a very preety girl does not cover her face and that make many boys crazy baout her till always follow her to go any where although she goes home. (it's very critical situation). well, i'm not in that critical type so i don't have to cover my face. in my country those people who put the face cover become more amusing (it's not like man will follow all the way) but more people will stare cuz thinking "are they at that preety?" sorry to say this. it's normal for guy (husband or still bachelor) will stare at girls. that's normal as long as they are not doing some harm on girls.you could ask it to your male friends or brother.for sure they still stare at you although we cover your face. i have many friends in US and they use hijab but with covering the face. i never heard people stare at them curiously. well, it's your right to use it or nope. i'm sure you do have such reasons to put it on.

People don't know that. People know that Muslims were responsibel for 9-11. They read books like "not without my daughter." they see what the curan says. Like if your wife dosn't agree with you, you can beat her. And they are notr blowing up stuff, they're blowing up people - innocent people! I believe you, I don't tink most Muslims think like that but alot of them do and they advewetise that they do. That's why.

I think when Muslim men get into hijab and attempt to blow up trains - they just stripped you of it. Security of society will not permit people to be in hijab. By the same token if somebody goes around in a stocking mask, covering their face they will be pulled up by the police. Or perhaps somebody will make a "Citizens Arrest" If you sincerely believe that you are not supporting terrorists, seek accounting from your mosque for every dollar that goes into the mosque. US mosques and islamic religious charities have been funding terrorist campaigns. Your fellow muslims have contributed to it - even if you bleat that you have your rights, you are unfortunately going to be stripped of your burqa within our lifetimes. We cannot allow this islamic fascist threat to continue.

i don't know why, but it's not the commonly things in the other country, and sometime muslim so angry with christian in my country. i think that it's depend on the people. don't give up. do the best. never hurt each other
