How late do you stay up at night?

I have found that the older I get, the later and later I stay up. Sometimes I am wide awake at four or five in the morning. I have always been more "functional" at night, but I believe I'm converting to a completely nocturnal being.
To top things off, I wake up at eight in the morning. I hardly sleep at all, but this doesn't seem to bug me or my livliness. I just have too much to do at night to sleep. Do any of you feel the same way?

I've always been a night owl. Some times I can stay up 24 hours straight... other times I go to bed by 9pm! Just depends. I have noticed that older people tend to sleep shorter periods but more often.

I've always been a night owl. I've loved working night shift and even as a teenager wished school ran at night. I don't function well in the mornings although lately not having much choice in it. I still go to bed anywhere from 2am till 5am and I have to get up at 7am to get the kid all set for school. I usually take a nap in the afternoon to help with sleep. I just very rarely can get to bed early. Just doesn't work out that way for me.

I was born at 10 in the morning, which would be my ideal time to have to get up in the morning (if I had a choice), so maybe there is something to that theory.

I usually go to sleep around midnight. I get up at 7:30am so I'm still getting a pretty good night's sleep. However, I can't fall asleep much earlier than that (or wake up earlier) and still feel good in the morning, so I guess I'm lucky I rarely have to be into work before 9am!

I sleep everyday at 11.30 P.M. and get up at 7. A.M.
I am always on the net till 11.30 or sometime beyond it also.

My job is such that i hv to work in night so ususllay even in my off days or holidays I stay up through out the nite and sleep only after 6 am in the morning. I like staying awake in the nite sitting beside my computer.

I can stay up at night normally at 9 .But some time when i have to perform some task then it takes 10 or 11 .Actually i have opinion that early to bed and early to rise makes a man healty ,wealthy and wise .I don't prefer to stay much at night currently .

My sleeping habits really is erratic. There are times when I feel sleepy at around 9PM, yet there are times when I can't sleep at all. =/ So I think the average time I go to sleep is around 11PM. =)

gosh, i tend to go to bed around 1-3 or 4 and get up at 10-11. I never was a morning person. I used to sleep only 3 or 4 hours a night and sometimes not at all. I got some meds for that and took them fore nearly a year. I'd go days without sleeping. Now i sleep a good 8-10 hours.

I usually go to sleep after 11:30 at night. But sometime I do stay awake untill 2am or 3am. I can't getup early in the morning, no matter I sleep little early at the night or late night. I really like my sleep during morning hour.

I stay up WAY to late sometimes I feel! It's quite sad when your wide awake at 4:30 in the morning when your other half has to get up to go to work. But usually I am up until my other half has to head off to work..
As of lately though I seem to be falling asleep a lot earlier than usual.. And then I end up waking up sometime later on in the morning, let's say around 3:00 a.m. And I will be unable to go back to sleep so I will sign on to the computer & surf around for a bit or read a book to help me to sleep.. But I've found that doesn't end up helping.. I still find that I don't end up going to sleep until after my other half heads to work.
I'd have to say at this point in time that my sleeping pattern is very messed up. Though I have found that over the past few years it has always been like that. It just seems to be getting a lot worse as of recently I have found. I believe that I am a little bit of an insomniac. I find I sleep a lot better when the day time rolls around & then during the night I'd much rather be roaming around within the house.
I know that a lot of relatives who used to live with me used to get mad at me because I would stay up late at night & then want to sleep until late in the afternoon. I think it was because I was the opposite of them. They we're early birds, & I was much more of a night owl instead!
Now I find I could be up until 5:00 in the morning & still wake up at 10:00 a.m. Even though I may be tired because I didn't get enough rest.. I feel I have so much to do just like you. I find sometimes even though I just love sleeping that sometimes you have to force yourself to wake up.. Because if you don't then you may miss out on life.. Or you may get behind on the errands that you may have to run.. Or the places you have to go to or the people you have to see on these particular days.
For the most part though what I had listed above is how my sleeping pattern has been as of recently. I find I get tired a lot earlier than usual because of the fact that I've been falling asleep a lot earlier.. And then waking up somewhere later on in the morning & deciding to stay up. Which I don't think is all to healthy but sometimes I find it's difficult to control one's patterns when it comes to sleeping.
I know that my other half gets startled when he wakes up & finds out that I haven't slept yet. I think it worries him because he wants me to get a good nights rest at night. But I guess me & him are some-what on different sleeping patterns as well. Though on weekends we do end up going to bed at similar times because he will be willing to stay up with me until late on weekends. But sometimes even then he will end up drifting off & I will still be up not able to fall asleep.
In conclusion.. I do indeed feel the same way you do. It sounds to me like we have quite similar sleeping patterns. I find sometimes even though I may stay up until 4 - 5 in the morning that I sometimes will feel not at all tired & will instead feel like I am full of energy. Other times I will feel even more exhausted. I think it all depends on how I may have slept, but also of course what time I had gone to bed as well.
Though like I had stated above that I have found my sleeping patterns change all to often. I guess it makes my life interesting instead of it always being the same. But sometimes due to my bad sleeping patterns I feel like it's taking a toll on my body.
And hopefully that doesn't end up showing up later on in my life because of how many times I had stayed up so late.. Or how my sleeping patterns would change frequently on & off! . .

Yeah i do. Actually I have always been up until 3am and all i do is go online and surf the net! To think I still have to go to school early in the morning around 7 or 8 am. That's like having only 3 hours of beauty sleep for me. My mom says I have an insomnia or something. This made me unproductive at school because I often feel sleepy while listening to class discussions.

yes..i sleep at 6 or 7 in morning.then wake up at 10 or 11.thats what 1 sleep.3 or 4 hrs.and i look always fresh
