We will be paying off bills... our daughter was very ill in November, so we have a lot of bills from November and December... once we get our refund, it all will go to bills. But at least now we will be almost totally caught up! We are hoping and praying she stays healthy and does not have any additional complications.

I hope that she stays healthy too and no further complications! I know what you mean about lots of medical bills. Our two toddlers were in the hospital for two different things less than two months apart. That took a big chunk out of us as well.

We will pay off some bills but we wont be getting too much back this year. We sold some timber off our land and it is going to kill us on taxes. Cant win for loosing.

HA! Isn't that the truth sometimes?!? We have some incredibly TALL trees on our property that sways in the wind and I'm afraid that one day they'll fall on our house. But in my state, the more trees that you have that are a certain size, the more your house is worth...much more. So my husband says "no" to cutting them down.

I wouldn't know. I never get tax refunds. I always have to pay.

For some odd reason I am not getting but a few hundred back this year. I think because this is the first I did not have any dependants to claim. So I will use this to fund my vacation this May. I will be going to another country and hope to have lots of money to spare while visiting.

I usually spend tax refunds on fun. Fun stuff like shopping or travel. I pay my bills on time so I can afford to spend my refund on anything I want.

I didn't mean to make it sound like - paying bills to catch up on ones that weren't paid on time. I was referring to maybe paying off a credit card balance so one would not have that bill that would need to be paid every month. Or even a car note. Paying like that. Thanks for responding!

We have used our tax refunds to help pay bill off. It would have been nice if we'd have used it to take a vacation or something.

I filed my taxes in February, and had my refund by early march. we put the money into the account we had set aside for the downpayment on our house. We close in May and will move in during the month of June.
