Is anyone else addicted to finding a work at home job?

I am a stay at home mom to a 16 month old little girl. The nearest daycare is about 45 minutes away so by the time I pay dacare costs and gas expenses I feel like I won't be making any money, and plus I really like being a stay at home mom. =) Anyway, I have definitely become addicted to finding a work at home job. I search daily, and some nights I stay up until 1 or 2 am. Everything I find seems to be a scam! The only thing that I have found that might work out is Associated Content. You write articles and wait for offers on them. The offers range anywhere from $4 to $30! I just sent my first article so I don't know what's going to happen, they might reject it, I just don't know. If anyone out there has made a descent amount of money per month on a website or with a company I'd really like some info! I would love to make $500 or more a month at home. Thanks everyone!

It is very addicting but very frustrating. Have you tried using www.WorkatHomeCareers.com to search for a job? It is is an actual job search engine.
I also suggest Wahm.com or WLPH.com. They are forums but have new leads daily, But WorkatHomeCareers.com isnt a forum, Just had some great legit jobs listed!
good luck in your search!

If you are trying Associated Content, you should definately try Constant Content....
http://www.constant-content.com/?aref=2932
There you get to set your own prices for your content, and when it is approved they find a buyer for you, so all you need to do is worry about the writing. I've sold articles for prices ranging from $10 to $150 depending on the length... which is about 400 - 1500 words for the range if you want to look at it that way.
Anyway, if you want, you can give it a look. I've found that's it's better in the long run then Associated Content, but you don't get immediate payments because you need to wait for a buyer. But if you don't mind waiting a little longer, you can make a lot more there.
Either way, good luck with your writing!

Thank you for letting me know about another writing site. While I do enjoy writing, I'm not sure I'm the level of writers that submit articles to these sites. I took English 1 and 2 in college and did very well, but my professor was awesome and we got along great. Anyway, I will definitely look into the site. Thanks again!

By the way, I should mention that I've earned about $550 from this site so far, but if I posted more articles (because I haven't in a while... I've just been getting paid from old articles selling) then I could make a lot more money with it. They always have people that request articles too, so if you write for those, they can sell pretty quick, and even if the requester doesn't buy from you, I've had people later on buy the article, so it's not like I wrote it for nothing.

You sound exactly like me! I stay at home with my 18 month old daughter. I live in a small town in Virginia, sure there's a daycare- but any job I could get would be 30-60 minutes away. Not worth it! On so many nights I've stayed up to the wee hours searching for a way to make money online. I use AC, like you. Some other things I do are, write and rate articles for www.helium.com, use www.treasuretrooper.com, and do sponsored posts on my blogs. I'm also training to become a guide for chacha. Good luck with your search, let us know if you find anything!

Kudos for staying with the baby, i always feel like, if someone is home with a baby, why isn't it the person who ha dthem? No matter what they do for a living they should take the time (at least some time) and rais etheir baby.Everything that I have found is severely scam-ish as well.I wish us both luck in our online efforts, lol.

I'm certainly addicted to finding work at home. I'm not a mom any more, but I'm 59 years old, and I'm physically unable to work many of the jobs that I might be able to do, or I've done in the past. I've applied to alot of jobs, but no one calls me, except mayby McDonalds or something...I can't work there, of course (I'm a strict vegetarian). Anyway, you're the second person I've heard from today talking about that Associated Content. I might give it a shot, as I love writing. I would love to make about 600. a month online. I'm keeping my eye out as you are...I hope it's ok if I invite you as my friend, then we can keep each other posted. For the record, almost 98 percent of those online money making businesses are scams, so be careful.

No, I don't mind at all if you send me a friend invite. I signed up to MyLot a little while back and saw that I was getting paid 1 cent per post and thought, that'll take me forever to make any money, but I came back because I figured, hey I like to talk and write so might as well do it and make a little money. Better than nothing! Keep me posted if you find any work at home jobs, and I'll do the same for you. Thanks for responding!

MyLot is a great place. You won't make a bundle here though. But it is extra pocket money, and the discussions are entertaining, and most of the people are great. If you are interested at all in writing I write short content articles for a site called Associated Content.
http://www.associatedcontent.com/join.html?refer=15512
They pay anywhere from $5-$20 when they publish your article, into your paypal account. It's really a pretty great site. I hope this helps you out some. Welcome to myLot.

I certainly am. I had to re-train a couple of years ago due to a health problem, I could no longer do the physical job I was trained and qualified for. I chose to get some training in call centre (telephone) work.
I am going to look into all the work offers that people have recommended. Thanks for all the info.

Just so you know, I've been working for Associated Content since July 06 and I love it. I've made close to $400 from there now. If I would have worked harder, and would be working harder now (which I am btw) I would be making way more than that. You can make a pretty hefty income there if you work hard and submit really great stuff.

Hi,
I feel your pain. I have been in the same boat as you for quite some time looking for that work at home thing. As you mentioned, you must be very careful and not get sucked into those programs that guarantee ultimate wealth with little or no work involved. There is something that I found that I have been studying and that is affiliate programs. There is a lot of research involved finding the right companies to promote for but from what I have found thus far if you are selective and careful, you can do well. I do not mean to promote anything to you just trying to offer some friendly advice.

Hi Mom2babygirl, working at home is the best and we all want the same thing. I have read all the post here and their is some very interesting content submitted. It seems that you really like to wright so maybe I can offer a sugestion.
Have you considered writing an ebook? They are usally produced in pdf format and if it things go well you could sell online and then with the right contacts you might even get puplished. If nothing else it a place to start.
Think about it and then go to http://www.wordcraftersmart.com and review site. You will find lots of information on this and when you do visit the site use the contact form and send your questions to Leeuna, a personal friend of mine. She would more than happy to guide you in the right direction.
Tell her Lonnie sent you. Ok

Hi, I am also interested in work at home job. I too would love to make money sitting at home through some job. Can U please inform me about the sites which offer money for the articles. I have found a site by name wahm.com wherein the message board exhibits lots of work at home jobs. Since I am in India, they don't suit me. If it suits U, try them out.Good luck.

Congratulations on your daughter! And yes, being home with them when they little is much more fun. I was a corporate mom with my son and this time around I am home for my daughter (and my son when he falls in a puddle at school--it has happened.)I like the "pay for action" sites but I actually belong to a few and I always compare before I do anything. I have one site that seems to be my highest payer, sometimes $5 more for the same action. FushionCash: www.fushioncash.net/?ref=mkangel. I do also belong to www.treasuretrooper/213105 and www.inboxdollars/?r=mkangel (Inboxdollars seem to pay less and charge $3 to receive your check.) You just have to keep records so if you doing a "trial offer" you can cancel before it expires.

I do search for ome work t home jobs. Though I myself is not sure if any of them are real. I actually signed-up for several already. But nothing seems to be serious. Internet surfing is one of my addictions that's why I at least wanted to earn while burning my PC!
