The best way to talk to English speaking people. If there aren't many around, read out loud... listen to English news, watch English movies and imitate the way they read... especially the timing and pronounciation. Practice really makes perfect.

Reading English books will also help, especially those that have some dialogue in them? Cause those conversations may help you to acquire English speaking or writing styles.

Having an ear for language means you have to be sensitive with all the things that encompass a language, namely, sounds, accents, pronunciation and the likes. How do you do it? Listen carefully to native English speakers and observe how they say a word. If you watch English for example, you can turn on the caption or subtitles and read or repeat the lines after they are being spoken. Don't read it at the same time the speaker is speaking it. Another thing is listen to CDs like IELTS practice test. It will help you a lot. Writing is different from speaking in terms of formality.
