what is this all about earning money?

All of this is a bit new to me and i did not come on here to make money, and from what i can see, you are not going to make an awful lot of it any way.
Why is it so important to some people to be making money?
Am i just missing some thing? i thought it was just about discussions and to get to know different peoples views and along the way get some help if you need it, surley that is more important than a few cents.?

Hi ya, welcome to mylot! You're not missing anything it is just a discussion forum that most people use for discussing things. I'm afraid you will see people posting things just to get paid, but I'm afraid it's all in vain as they don't pay you much! I've earned just over $12 in a week lol! It's a good place though and you soon make friends!!

I started this site because of the money , I probably wouldn't be here if it wasn't for that but like you said it is not a lot we are going to earn and I have fun while I am doing it and really don't expect to get a fortune . I am very happy witht the money I have made so far and can't understand how people think we should be getting paid more for what we are doing . We really are not doing much of anything , we are answering posts that other people put up and when we want to do it .
I love the site and will be staying here until it goes down .
