The teachings in church also say that for one to be saved "he or she must first accept Jesus Christ as their saviour." Which makes me wonder... What of the babies who die at birth? Or very early in their lives. Where would they go? Since it's been said that all humans are born sinners.

According to the Bible and Christian teachings, all babies and little children automatically gets free passes to Heaven when they die. And yes, we are all born sinners, that is why we ask God for forgiveness to cleanse our soul and to accept Him into our heart.

Those who do not yet have the capacity to decide or choose or learn like children are saved as shown in the Holy Bible that children are with God. If they are sinners, they could not be with God because they are unholy. People begin to commit sin only when they have already the knowledge that they are committing sin.
