I have a laptop that has an expiring antivirus. Right now i have Kaspersky installed but i'm trying to find out the best free antivirus. One that can give good protection and doesn't eat much space in the memory. Any advice about...

mogg20 I use AVG Free 2013 as antivirus. But to be sure, you might also want to consider downloading SuperAntiSpyware Free and Malwarebytes AntiMalware. Regular scanning with the latter two programs should keep your computer real safe.

mogg20 I usually fight with my brother about who gets to use the computer too. At least until we managed to make some kind of schedule, where I use the PC during the day, and the machine will be his to use at night.

mogg20 I leave my computer on all the time during the day, but turn it off at night before I go to bed as a safety precaution. Just to make sure nothing goes wrong with the machine while I'm asleep.
