Wow, my daughter climbed out of hers when she was right around a year old. So, that is when we stopped using it!

We call them portacots here ... my son used his until he was around 2 and thought it was more fun climbing in and out of it!!
My 12 week old is still using the basinette part that came with ours that sits up the top.
As with any product designed for babies and young children - they still need to be supervised while they are in it. If you think your daughter is going to get out of it ... or get hurt then don't use it anymore!

My daughter never got to use hers. Well, maybe at least, twice or thrice. She hated being left in her crib/playpen.

hi there! my baby is just 9 months old and he is also using the contour electra. from what i have heard from some of my friends, it would actually depend on the activities of your child inside the crib. maybe you should remind your little girl not to jump out of it.. or to attempt to climb over as she would get hurt. but if its just for sleeping puposes, i guess its not that big of a problem.. good luck! =)

I haven't used one.
Although we have been meaning to buy when we go on trips and things. currently we have a cot which can be turned into a normal bed and this won't need changing until my sons 5.
Can't really add anythng else but i have enjoyed your discussion so i'll follow 'em. kudos!

By the time my little girl was that age she could climb out of her cot. I solved the problem by putting it next to my bed, then she wouldn't hurt herself if she fell.
Soon after I put her in a bed. In this country they say that as soon as your child can climb out of their cot you should put them in a bed, with a bed guard. That way they can't roll out, but can safely climb out if they want to.

In regards to Pack N' Play Contour Electra Crib, I understand your feeling about this and I had to take my grandson out of this when he was 18 months old as by that time it looked like you are saying and that he would hurt himself and fall out of it.
