My husband and I have recently celebrated our twelfth anniversary; we dated for almost five years before marriage so have been together for almost eighteen years. I am very fortunate because I do not only love my husband, but I like him! After being together for a while most people realize that this is really important! Friendship, respect and compassion are necessary for the love to survive.

I love many people, but I am only in love with one person in my life. Unfortunately because our relationship would be disapproved of we do not get to see each other very often. We met as friends a few years ago, recently I moved away and it was only after that, that we realised our feelings for each other. Still it doesn't detract from the way we feel about each other, we haven't even told each other as much yet but I can feel the way things are heading between us even if it never comes to anything in the real world due to the reaction it would have from those around us. It's the first time in my life I have felt truly IN love with somebody, and it is difficult that I can't be with him or near him on valentines day (and every other day) as I would like to be, but I am just grateful to know him, and to have whatever it is we do have with each other. In short, although we can't bring our relationship into the public eye just yet, if you get an opportunity for love, try not to let fear hold you back in anyway. Being brave and honest about your feelings does have it's pay offs, even if it's not forever.
