Dad Accused of Using Stun Gun on Baby

Albany father used a 100,000-volt stun gun on his 18-month-old son, police said Monday. Rian Whittman, 23, has been accused of assault and criminal mistreatment. Police said he used it "multiple times" over three weeks. A police spokesman said there were up to 10 instances. The child was treated at a hospital, police said, and then taken into protective custody by the state Department of Human Services. police haven't established a motive for the abuse, what are your thoughts on this? How can anyone do something like this to a baby.

People are just plain sick anymore. What is wrong with that man. He should be put in the electric chair for such a crime against a defenseless child. To think he did it at least 10 times says he has no remorse at all.

I hope he gets a very harsh penalty for this behaviour. There is no excuse for mistreating your child at all. Especially one that young that doen's deserve it. There are some viscious mean spirited people in the world. If the child was difficult to handle why didn't the family seek help?? I don't understand it at all.

All babies cry. He should have just walked away and called someone. We have all had times when our kids are crying as babies and we don't cope very well, but that is no excuse to hurt the poor thing.

He is a sick b*****d! give him the same treatment day after day with a higher voltage untill he fries! What that poor baby must have suffered! and so helpless.

That's terrible. I think someone needs to do a little population control/skim the gene pool on that guy, what a complete idiot. I hope he never sees that child ever again.

I don't know how anyone could do that to a baby. There are some sick people out there. I hope he gets punished really bad for what he has done. All I can say is he is a sick man.

How can someoen be so evil to a child. And moreover he is the father of that child. This is insane. Why people are getting so much to cruelity day by day. Every day you will hear some shocking news of evil work.
