I live in the south and boiled peanuts come natural. You have to have them when you go to the mountains. You have to have them when watching a ball game. There great. My Mother-in-law came down from Washington State. We took her sight seeing and there was a vendor on the side of the road. You can't miss them. They are ususlly in some kind of traylor pulled by a truck. You will see steam coming out of a big can or pot. You pull over and they put the peanuts in a big cup and give you a bag to throw the shells in. How many of you have ever had any?

In the Philippines eating boiled peanuts is like a way of life. Street vendors usually sell them here too, except that they use pushcarts instead of trucks. You can buy a big bag, which costs around 20 pesos, or less than 50 cents. In fact, it is a staple food when we go drinking. We call it "pulutan" here, or finger foods.

Yeah... I love boiled peanuts. We have a lot of them here in the Philippines. One thing you can try with them once you peel all the skin, put it in a bowl, put some shaved ice and put milk. Its like a really nice dessert as well. You can add sugar if you want it sweet.

I just love boiled peanuts and I miss it terribly! I grew up in the Philippines and I would never get tired of eating boiled peanuts any time of the day. I think it's habit-forming. Now that you mentioned it, i think I'll try to boil my own peanuts here in the U.S. I would love to eat those while watching home movies. In the Philippines, they are being sold over pushcarts in a large steaming container.

I live in Florida and was raised on boiled peanuts. The peanuts that you eat at the baseball game are usually roasted and salted. Boiled peanut are cooked in water for hours and usually salted some, but if they are done right they just melt in your mouth. But the peanuts that they use to boil are called green peanuts. Not to confuse you. If you ever get a chance you must try them. It's funny, but we had about 10lbs at our house for the super bowl. When we go camping we have to cook up about 20+ lbs., they are great to share with friends and are nice and messy.

I love peanuts alot and my mom always scold me whenever i eat peanuts, as peanuts will make us become fatter. Yes, i like to eat boiled peanuts, it is soft and easier to peel and it is soft and nice to eat. My mom doesn't know they way to boil it, so the only way i can get this peanuts is to buy it outdoor, and I will finish them before going back to my home. Speaking of it, I think tomorrow I will go and buy as I can taste this tasty peanuts in my mind now.

Ohh boiled peanuts..yummmyy!!:) I love boiled peanuts and they taste great anyday. Where I come from it is a common snack. We shell the boiled peanuts, add finely chopped onions, chopped cilantro, a little bit of chilli powder and salt, and a bit of lime juice. Mix it up and your peanut 'masala' is ready to gobble up. I should look out for these vendors here, I would love to eat some.

I love to eat peanuts. All kinds. But I don't recall the term boiled peanuts. Are there usually 2 peanuts in a shell? Are the shells sometimes salted? Now I am going to have to drive 957 miles to find a vendor and try them. I am sure it will be worth the trip.
