Most of the time I prefer steam. Yeah, steam food got less oil and is good for our health. The main reason I like to steam food is because it safes time. Asian people like me used to eat rice everyday. So I put the bowl of rinsed rice into a cooking pot. Then I put a deep plate of fish on top of it, and then again another plate of vege on top of the fish. After steaming (time count after the water is boiling) for 5 to 7 minutes I take out the vege, then another 3 minutes later I take out the fish. The rice takes about 20 to 25 minutes to be ready for serverd.

well..for health reasons...i would prefer steamed..but man..the fried tastes sooo much better!! I know i have options for spices with steamed, but we just got a rice cooker as a wedding gift, and I've only used it once for rice. (im a slacker, i know!!) I need to use it to steam vegetables etc, and get more use out of it!

It depends on what food you are serving. For fish I want it steamed as it is more healthy than frying them. Sometimes even if it is healthy to steam a food if it does not go well with the meat then steaming is useless since you will not eat it if it doesn't taste good.

i am a food lover and i am on a see-food diet, whenever i see food, i eat! so. it depends on the kind of food and how i am gonna eat it.we can't just totally eat food that is cooked steamed or fried.it has to be balance if your concern is health.

It really depends on the food. Veggies are always steamed. I seldom fry anything, I usually bake it in the oven. Or I use the healthy grill that we were given by our friends.

fried, of course! some things are good steamed, for example, veggies but here in roma, they love to deep fry veggies in a light batter!
