Why are people afraid of snakes?

phobias can occur because of past experiences that would then make you scared of a certain animal, thing, person, etc. This fear can thus be carried over even up to the present. Example you are afraid of dogs because a dog bit you when you were little.
With that in mind, phobias are very complicated that sometimes you are afraid of things without really knowing one. I for a fact am afraid of frogs even though I have never had a traumatic experience with a frog. I am also afraid of snakes by the way. :)

i cant specify why i am scared of snakes but eveytime i heard snakes it giving me a grips always

Honestly? I think it maybe something to do with the story of Paradise, with the serpent corrupting Adam and Eve.

I think that at least in the Christian backgrounded countries it might have something to do with the fact that in the bible when adam and eve fall to temptation there is a snake there that tempts them with the apple....but i am not sure it's that.
