Why are people afraid of snakes?

I am afraid of snakes very much.Even i see some on the TV or movies,i am will be the back immediately.

phobias can occur because of past experiences that would then make you scared of a certain animal, thing, person, etc. This fear can thus be carried over even up to the present. Example you are afraid of dogs because a dog bit you when you were little. With that in mind, phobias are very complicated that sometimes you are afraid of things without really knowing one. I for a fact am afraid of frogs even though I have never had a traumatic experience with a frog. I am also afraid of snakes by the way. :)

wow it is a phobias.But i do not want to see the mental doctor.I think that let it be.Mybe it is a good way for me.

I think everybody have phobias,so your not alone in this. It's perfectly normal I guess. Your phobia is not unusual so you don't have to worry.

i cant specify why i am scared of snakes but eveytime i heard snakes it giving me a grips always

Me too.I have the same feeling as you.People tell me snakes is cold-blooded animal.It is a horrific things when i think that.

Honestly? I think it maybe something to do with the story of Paradise, with the serpent corrupting Adam and Eve.

I think that at least in the Christian backgrounded countries it might have something to do with the fact that in the bible when adam and eve fall to temptation there is a snake there that tempts them with the apple....but i am not sure it's that.

Me too.I don't like snakes entwine shape.the head raised and spit their tongue.
