I think it is because they want their children to grow up to be well rounded adults, and they want what is best for thier children. Sometimes a child will not do anything if left alone to make the choice themselves, so it is a preants job to make sure that the child gets lots or experiences. I know I do that with my daughter. I tell her she has to try things once before she can make a decission as to whether she likes it or not. It is all about helping her find things that she likes, and is good at, and giving her experiences. It is about me loving her and wanting her to have things she is passionate about, and learning new things, and becoming well rounded.

well, it depends if they are not doing anything to built up their muscles than they want them to do something. kids dont want to do it but parents wouldnt want their kids to grow up lazy.
