can you agree that parents have white lies not to destroy their image?

I agree with the other ppl that is cheating, and should not be covered up. I personally went through that situation with my current husband 6 yrs ago before we married, and had another son with this girl, and I explained to my kids that he is their brother, just that he has a different mom than them.

I don't think lying about having another women is a white lie. I think white lies are when you lie about something to save hurting someones feelings, like how they look or something like that.
I do think parents select not to tell things to make the family look better and that isn't always a bad thing, but generally I don't like lies.

I'm sorry, but I do not see how a man who is unfaithful could ever be classed as a good and respected father.
Lying is lying. Dishonesty is dihonesty. Unfaithfulness is unfaithfulness.
There is no such thing as a white lie. A lie is a lie!
Honesty is always the best policy!

your example is not a lie. it is total cheating. white lies are those lies which you want to cover up for your own sake. those shallow ones. a father having another woman is cheating already.
