Ayurvedic/Siddha cure for Cancer

How far are Ayurvedic/Siddha medicines effective in curing cancer. Allopathic practitioners/ specialists have given up anyway. So no point in pursuing them. Chemotherapy/ radiation etc. are in fact more harmful in older patients. I am asking for my dad who is 74. Any suggestions?
