My handwriting is not really spectacular. But it's readable, and I actually get comments from patients (I'm a doctor) saying that they are very glad they could actually read my prescriptions :)

That's good! At least your writings can be read than other doctors do.Most doctors (Im a Nurse) that i've encountered have a very bad writing. After they write something on patients chart, they leave it on the nurses station without reading it to the nurses, specially when they are in a hurry.

My writing isn't very good at all. I'm a bad speller so I write badly to hide it. Pity you can't hide it on here, but at least normally I can spell check things before I send them.

Even as a child I've always been praised on my writing skills, one of my talents is writing and I like to use a fountain pen because it makes my work even neater, and looks professional, I always take great care when filling in forms, especially application forms for jobs that my writing is presentable and then it stands out, as employers look at the state of your writing.

Even though I'm ambidextrous, my left hand is my dominant hand for writing. Oddly, my left-hand writing is terrible while the writing from my right hand, which I rarely use, is very neat and legible.
I really wonder about doctors. Is it a requirement that one can't become a doctor unless one's handwriting is atrocious? If so, just call me "Doc." ;)
