what would you do if somebody told you you're ugly?

i've had friends who had a misunderstanding about this. but the question 'friend a' asked to 'friend b' what would you do if you're pretty? 'friend b' came rushing to our room crying. she told us what happened and we didn't know how to react. friend b is not really ugly but she's not pretty either. if i would be told that i was ugly i would probably smash him/her in the face.

Well as someone who isnt "pretty" buy the standard of society I would have to take it with a grain of salt. I am beutiful on the inside and in Gods eyes. I am a firm believer that beauty comes from within. I have seen many "atractive" people whos actions and atitude make them look quite unatractive to me. The world we live in is to concerned with looks and style and it seems nobody looks within any more. I was luck enough to find a man (a good looking one at that) that was looking for more than outward beauty. He tells me every day that I am beautifull and I know that he sees what comes from within. I would point out to your friend that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, and perhaps the one who told her this needs glasses !

lol, Nope hes all mine. Thanks for the compliment though. I count myself quite lucky to have found him. I hope your bf is able to see you for the wonderfull person you seem to be, if not I would strat looking for another.

I've been told both. First, I consider my self-esteem. Second, I consider the source. Third, I remember that being attractive is completely subjective. Tell Friend B that it doesn't matter what Friend A said. Looks aren't everything. They help, but the world doesn't revolve around whether someone has them or not. Tell your friend to get over it, focus on something else. No need for violence by smashing someone in the face! :) Do you really care what other people think of you more than what you think of yourself?

my point is if somebody was born to have an ugly face then isn't it unfair for somebody who was born with a beautiful one to treat her like that? :)

Yes, it's unfair but that's life as my mom always told me. It sounds like Friend B needs to find a new friend who will give acceptance no matter what Friend B looks like. And maybe you shouldn't be friends with Friend A if that person is so superficial, right? I hope your friends don't judge you by your looks. Your friends should like you for the person that you are on the inside. Because that's all that matters!!!

ignore it and accept it as a constructive one!...i know it hurts but i need to accept the truth and it's their opinion!...i cant do anything about it!...i cant please everybody!...lolz

i would probably tell her to look at me again and tell me what's wrong with my face then i'll tell her what's wrong with hers..
and then take it as a challenge to improve myself
or better yet to prove that looks aren't the only thing that matters..there is also what you call intellect, talent, and skills..and beauty is just a bonus to all that..
