Would you be mad if this happened to you?

Okay so this is a discussion me and my best friend have been having for some time now. If you had a huge birthday cake with your name on it, and someone comes and cuts your name and eats it, ( whe there are other pieces of cake already cut) would you be upset? I don't know how everyone else feels about htis but me and a lot of other girls agree. The name of hte cake is for whoever's name it is. It just seems somewhat disrespectful to eat someone else's name. The guys we talk to about this don't think of it as a big deal. What do you think?

Well, frankly I don't think it's disrespectfully specially if the cake had already been cut. And I'm also a girl however I don't think like that. But wait! But if that person does that without even letting me get the first cut of my cake!! then he or she will be in big trouble.

That is totally disrespectful but thats my opinion. If there were other pieces of the cake cut why did they just not take that. Why would anyone on purpose cut into someones name and eat that. Usually the part of the cake that has the name on it is given to the name of the person the cake is for.

Yes I would be mad if I wanted to keep the part of the cake with the name on it, especially if it was for a young child. Now if the cake was for an older person like me, I would not care who eats my name, it's just a name.

I think it depends on the age of the girl. If it's some young girl's birthday I think it would upset her and possible even make her cry. If it's an older person, they may be annoyed but probably get over it. Cakes are supposed to be eaten but I can also understand that the name part of the cake is suppose to be for the birthday person. Or whatever event is being celebrated.

i'm a girl but i don't think that it's a big deal as well. it's just a cake and cakes are supposed to be eaten right?the only thing that you'll be able to keep about the cake was the thought that somebody bought it or made it for you.

I don't think it's that big of a deal specifically about the name, however, if peices were already cut, I don't see why someone would cut into the cake again...and take the name. So that would probably irritate me also, not so much because of the name, but because there were already peices cut.

Queen, I am really surprised at this question. This is not something that you usually post. I am trying to understand what the problem is and wondering if it was another young woman that is perhaps not a huge fan of yours and was being sort of tacky; if it was a young man and was being sort of naughty; or if it is just the idea of the whole thing. As for me, as long as it is the whipped cream frosting and I can have all of the swirly stuff and roses, I'm more than alright with that ~Donna

for me, its not a big deal it is just a printed name it doesn't shows that they degrade you. it is just a normal that your name in the cake will eaten by anybody because its food and ofcourse it will be eated by human. so just think positive of what doing.

i think that is sort of a tradition and out of respect to let the birthday kid eat his or her name

I don't find it a big deal. now, I think that the birthday person should have the first piece of cake adn their choice of pieces. That is just how I have always done it.

You should get the name as the first piece of cake. If you don't you should ask for it it you want it before someone else gets it. To me cake is cake name does not change anything.

It's a no big deal for me since the cake is suppose to be eaten. It is disrespectful when the birthday celebrant didn't get his/her first slice of the cake.

I can see how you would be upset if it was your cake but if it was a long name, just think of the calories you are not eating haha. I don't think it really matters though as it is only cake and you can't have your cake and eat it.....

i respect how you feel
but for me, it's no big deal after all it is just a cake.
and if someone cut my cake with my name in it, that's okey.
i think they like the piece with my name in it :)
but it is somewhat disrespectful to others.
do not let the cake ruin your party...have fun...
good day and goodluck....

Whoah! That is soooo rude! What is the purpose of that person anyway? Why did he/she cut someone else's name on a cake and eat it whereas there are other portions already cut?! That is just so rude! I mean, if I were the celebrant, I should be given the option to cut my cake and cut MY name RIGHT AWAY if I wanted to! Usually, when attending parties --- birthday parties to be specific, honestly, the last portion that always, almost remained uncut is the part where the celebrant's name is. Well, except if that's the only part left; then, that should be okay if someone would cut it even if the celebrant's name is still on it. I hope your bestfriend realizes what he/she is talking about, because definitely, it ain't right. Cheers! üüü
