Hello
I live in the Philippines. The capital is Manila
and I am in San Fernando Pampanga, about 2 hours away from Manila.
I am 30 minutes away from Clark, a former US airbase. Now is an International Airport.
Philippines is in southeast asia. A tropical Country. Most of the tourist spot are some beaches around the south of the country.

I am from the Philippines, dubbed as "Pearl of the Orient". You can find it in Southeast Asia. I was born in Manila, the nation's capital, and the city is a mixture of Asian and Western culture.

I have a wonderfully easy job. I'm from Singapore, the red dot at the end of the Malaysian Peninsula. As countries go, Singapore is both a city and a country. For reading Americans, just imagine LA with its own President, Army, Parliament etc etc.
On the whole, Singapore is what you could call a perfect creation. The city is environmentally prestine, rich, safe (one place where you won't fear for your daughter's life when she wonders around the city centre in a mini-skirt, drunk at dawn) and the social services work. We, in Singapore have quite a diverse population of Western and Asian cultures.
On the down side, the place can be stuffy. Certain laws restrict certain freedoms - this is one place where BIG BROTHER does keep an eye on you (To be fair, Big Brother is actually quite benevolent). Alot of the good stuff comes at the expense of stiff penalties - we hang people for having pot, cane vandals and fine litter bugs half their monthly salary.
But hey, no place is perfect!

I am from Edmonton Alberta which is in Canada. Our capital city is Ottawa Ontario. Our city has beautiful parks and a lot of trees. It is also the business hub for the Alberta oil industry. I also know someone else from Laos, his name is similar to your user name! Take care Phon4u.

I am from Rhode Island, the smallest state in the USA. The capital of Rhode Island is Providence. Rhode Island is an industrial state, and attracts businesses. (there isn't much farming here). Brown University is in Rhode Island, and the Newport Naval Base. Newport hosts many sailing events, the Tall Ships, the America's Cup, which is sometimes held in San Diego, California, also. The weather is great from April to October, and then it is very cold.
Providence is growing and has attracted new businesses, built a mall in the city, built hotels and they are now building condominiums.

I'm from Bulgaria. I live in the capital - Sofia. The city is the biggest in the country and is surrounded by five mountains. During the day it's really noisy and there's a lot of traffic jams. At weekends it's more quiet and you can enjoy it really when most of the people go home in the province. As far as I know there are currently about 3 million people in Sofia.
