Mylot to the Rescue!

I have to say, I'm impressed. Mylot really is cracking down on TOS breaking posts! In another discussion, someone decided to launch a poorly worded personal attack at me - which I still don't get, since my post was about musing how the numerical reputations are divided up and I'm not really sure why that prompted some random person to call me a pathetic excuse for a human being who was greedy and cheap and a 'looser'.
Anyway, I went to file an abuse report about two minutes after it was posted. Before I could even fill out the form, the response was gone! Within two minutes Mylot had deleted the post! I can't remember seeing something deleted so quickly. I hear all sorts of stories of Mylot taking days to delete responses that break the rules.
Obviously, they weren't just blowing smoke with all their talk yesterday of cracking down on the 'bad' Mylot users. I, for one, am very impressed with how they're working these days.
So hats off to you, Sir Mylot Admins! Hold your mighty guard and defend ye Mylotian peasants! ;)

w00t! w00t! Sound the trumpets! There are definitely changes afoot and they are for the better. I was thrilled this morning to see that two discussions I had reported a few days ago were finally deleted. I'm sure it takes them a while to go through all the nasty posts, but we definitely appreciate their efforts. I saw an earnings increase of $4 yesterday. That just made my day :)

Seriously, I am very happy with how things are going. And I don't just mean the earnings - though that's very nice - but the policing and the removing of TOS breaking posts.

im alsoimpressed how mylot admin response to our reports. when i reported a bad irrelevant response to my discussion mylot deleted it after a day...well not as fast from what happened to you but they surely respond to every things we say.
im glad we are all in the right hand!

I've seen reports of discussions being deleted in record time, as well! I've always been happy with how the site is run, but I'm really pleased with th swift sword of justice that Mylot has taken up!

That's great to hear. It's nice to see the ones who are trying to be mean or the ones who are posting nonsense just to get paid are being held accountable. It's good to hear. This is a great site and I'm sure it takes a lot of work to keep it going. They deserve a lot of credit to be able to get things done so fast. It's good to know that they are on the ball.

Now, what could you have done to make people mad? I enjoy all of your posts immensely. I think I read all of your posts yesterday and I didn't see one that was offensive. Maybe I missed something??? LOL
Good for Mylots for taking action against some people who need to learn manners. :)

you are not a pthetic greedy loser..i love your informative posts and i am a great fan of yours..i am glad mylot got rid of the niusance post and has restored your honour..not that anyone would have rated it with a plus..i wonder if mylot will keep a tab on the abuser's i.p address so that person doesn't go around sabotaging everyone...

I saw the post and when I submitted my post, that one was gone and I was so glad to see it removed so quickly. Good Job, Mylot!

That's awesome!!! That person may have had another offense somewhere on the site, mylot probably just banned them all together... glad to hear the attack was deleted! That would be totally unfair and uncalled for...

MissK, I am so sorry that happened to you, and I am very happy to hear that the MyLot community administrators did what they did. I am so out of the loop that I had no idea of any changes at all. How did you get this information? Is there an admin. link that I am unaware of? Regardless, once again, I am sorry that you had to deal with abuse issues and hope it doesn't happen again. Wow! I've been pretty psyched about Mylot since I started here a few weeks ago, but I'm definitely even more psyched now! Glad to see an online forum that's actually being policed properly.
And it didn't hurt my feelings any to get a bit of that "redistribution". Not just for the money itself, but it also made me feel appreciated. Ewww warm fuzzy attack!

I don't agree with personal attacks, I have sent two messages to Mylot (not about abuse or anything like that) and they have replied reasonably promptly. With almost 70,000 on MyLot now then it will be very difficult for them to police every single post or response, so they have to go by the ratings and also by reporting abuse. (note some reports may not be justified so they will have to look at those as well).

This is great! Finally all the members that break the rules will be punish. At least that's what I hope happen.
This way there will be less troublemaker, and will be some order in here.

It is nice too hear that myLot care so muc about customers! I am quite new here, and if people are leaving comment braking the TOS then it may put me off posting. This is why I will stick with myLot, thw fact that they are fair too their users. Thanks myLot
