We have a black Lab named Magnum. Magnum has eaten whole pies, whole bags of bread (he loves bread), whole bags of buns, a whole bag of carrots, guniea pig food, bird food, flour, wheat gluten, sugar, a bag of oreo cookies, bags of chocolate, you name it, he's eaten it! Today I came downstairs to the horse Glucosamine all over the living room floor. It is 5000 mg of Glucosamine per serving. Now, I know you next to can't overdose on Glucosamine, at least that's what the vet said, but I've also read if you get too much it causes diarrhea. He ate about half the bucket or one month's worth of HORSE glucosamine! We cleaned up what was on the floor and went back to bed for a little bit. You can guess what we got up to after that! He had diarrhea all over the area rug in the living room. I had to throw it away. I was going to anyway but not quite yet. Bad dog!!!!! I never thought he would bother the horse's glucosamine or I wouldn't have brought it in. I had bought it last night and brought it inside til we went to the barn today. It's expensive too! So now he is eating rice and pepto bismol.

I wish! If I left the bucket where he could get it, he'd do it again! He's just really naughty when it comes to food. Have you see those chew hooves in the pet stores? They're very similar to the horse's hooves so it's really not surprising that they like to eat them. It seems pretty gross, though. I know they make some dogs sick but they all seem to like them!

I'm sure they think that makes them taste better! Some dogs like to just go eat the horse apples. Ewwwww! One of our house kitties likes to roll around on our shoes after we've been to the barn, He must like the smell or something.

Our little Maltese went through an absolutely disgusting phase, which I am completely relieved that it is over with now, where she would eat the cats business from their kitty litter trays. It was completely and utterly disgusting. We literally had to pick her up and move her away to get her to stop. Nothing else would make her. Luckily, it only lasted a week or two.

Actually, that is very common. Almost all dogs will do that. I've had to block off all our cat boxes or the dogs (all 4 of them) will get in there and eat the cat poop. From what I've read, they like to eat it because of the high protein content. It's still pretty gross, though. Ewwwwww!

Oh wow. I didn't know that. Neither of our previous two dogs went anywhere near it, so I just thought she was a weird little thing. None the less, I'm still glad she moved on from that. Still turns my stomach just thinking about it.

Nope, she's not weird at all! It is nice that she has stopped doing that, though. Wish mine would. The big dogs seem to be especially bad at it and then go get a drink of water so they leave litter in their water bucket.

Poi.
My dog, Baby Girl, was in the trash and I thought she had been eating peanut butter.
I looked in the empty dish that held the poi and found out that indeed she has better taste than most german shepherds have.

Well, I remember we had a dog named Christy and she gave birth to I think 5 pups...This worst thing he did after he gave birth is he ate all his puppies and that was the worst thing that I've ever seen and known in my whole life..

My dog a few months ago ate a box of approximately 1000 packages of splenda. Much to my surprise, he suffered no ill effects.
We had just gone shopping at Sam's and somehow that box did not get put away and the stinker found it.

Oh my goodness! That's a lot of Splenda! Was there a huge mess left? Magnum would do that too, if he found them.

My dog snickers is a yorkie and he used to be really picky. But then I got Pepito....another yorkie. Now Snickers will eat ANYTHING! One day I came home from work to see that Snickers had eaten about 6 boxes of powdered jello and about 40 packets of splenda. He also opens drawers in my mothers kitchen and eats whatever he can find. He eats whole chocolate bars and pizza. One afternoon, my mother was at home for lunch and she had a turkey sandwich sitting on the table...she got up to answer the phone and when she got back to the table she replied "where is my turkey!?" Snickers had taken just the turkey off of the bread. He also removed a hamburger from the bun when my dad got out of his chair and left his plate on a table by the chair. He eats entire bag of treats. He is crazy.

That's a lot of stuff for a little dog to eat. My Papillon would get up on the table and eat food off the table. When we would set the table, we'd have to set someone at the table to guard the food!

my fatty doggie eats almost anything, all kinds of food, even if he's just been fed to paper, mattresses, bedsheets, pillows, shoes etc. Especially when he's angry. He shows us by destroying something of ours.

That's not fun when they start eating the house and furniture. Our Golden mix is afraid of thunderstorms and fireworks, loud noises. We were gone once, last summer, and when we came home, my sons's doorjamb to his room was eaten up. He was so afraid, he was trying to dig and eat his way into Kurt's room. (It's his dog) He even had a little blood on his paws.

I love the name of your dog! The funniest thing my dog (R.I.P.) used to eat was crayons! He'd have some crazy looking poops after it too. I don't know why he was so attracted to them, but it was like his favorite food. My Saint Bernard doesn't do anything like that, but she definately loves to beg for human food.

Ha! One of ours ate crayons when he was a puppy and, you're right, he had some very interesting poop! At least they aren't toxic!

My dog, has tried on several occassions to eat my cats' mouse. However, she's not lucky enough to do so because I always manage to get it away from her. However, my mom's dog managed this task. My mom didn't catch her in time, and by the time she realized it, it was gone. She ended up passing red and white pieces later on in the week.

Ewwwww! We haven't had any mice inside so I don't know what the dogs would do. They want to get into the cat's food all the time. I have to feed the cats upstairs and block off the stairs so the dogs don't get into the cat's food. I accidentally fed our Pommeranian cat food for several day in a row because it looked very much like the dog food and he got soooooo sick. Poor guy. He was throwing up all the time until I figured out what was wrong.

lol...your dog sounds funny...i know its not realy a laughing matter but it tickles me.As a child we had trwo great danes, lovely dogs they are, and way are girl dog called Tiny was a bit of a troubke maker, my great ganny was staying at our for the weekend and as usual granny put her teeth in a glass by the bathroom side for the night well in the morning they were missing i got the blame for it as i was only young, however a few days later my mums was doing the house work and what appeared in the dogs basket...yep you guested it the teeth..LOL...mum didn't have the heart to give them back to great granny espesially with the chew prints on !!! on another occasion we use to run a pub and restaurant my dad was hsoting a big wedding party, a bit bit of smoke salmon was left on top of the freezer, and some how the same dog tiny managed to get into tje kitchens, we caught he in time to see the last morsals of smoke salmon....think she also spent the week on boiled rice and pepto. The dog i've got now when she was a pup ate both of my sofas she took all the foam out of the cushions side panels the lot, i was only gone an hour...

My second oldest daughter and her husband have a Great Dane and she is a neat dog.
That is sooooo funny about the teeth and the salmon! I would have thought the salmon would have been good for her. They put it in dog food now.
They can be very destructive too. My oldest daught had a Golden that would eat the carpet, couches, clothes, you name it.
Magnum has eaten several of my purses looking for food and he ate a pocket out of one of my jackets because there was a horse treat in it. He is standing here right now whinning for his dinner because it's almost dinner time. He startws whinning an hour before it's time!
