If somebody posts a discussion and then you then go in read and/or respond to that discussion yourself. Do you find yourself rating (+ - ) the other responses to that discussion or do you leave that to the person who actually posted the discussion?
Just curious to see what the majority of other people do. If I happen to read a response to another persons discussion that I think is rather well thought out than I'll often give it a +, although I'll generally limit it to maybe 1 or two people.

While I’m reading responses in somebody’s discussion I occasionally will rate the responses that are really good, meaningful and that can provide specific knowledge and beneficial information to me. I quite appreciate those original and creative responses and they deserved to be rated a +.

i usually rate if a discussion or response is some informative also i rate my responses to discussion as they got atleast 2 lines and some sort of description.i rate them as + and other leave no rating and i will add a comment like"please be decriptive as possible, thank you".
when i saw a good photo i will check that and rate them.usually i check the photo atatched to discussion as well as i search some photos within my interest and if a photo seems to catchy (for me)i wil rate a +
according to mylot a - rating should be done only when response doesn't meets the required quality! so dont give a - rating to a discussion for simply the person has a fiffrent idea than you for example if a person starts a discussion that says about something that not in your interst ,dont give him a -.so (-) has some bad effect.it will cause your reputaion and earning

Ye when I'm going through I rate some of the responses. If it looks like a decent length i'll give it a + and if its a word or 2, something offensive or something unrelated to the the topic i'll give it a -. I find this helps the mylot system running smoothly.

I always rate every comment in the discussions that I start - mainly them all being + unless it's less than 5 words like "i agree" or "yes" etc ... or the weird ones that are completely off topic and inrelevant and they are just trying to improve their numbers.
I do try to rate the discussions I participate in. I think i'd be there forever if I rated every single answer on every single thread i see ... but I usually at least rate the original question and then the comments on the page where my answer appears. Especially if it's a long and lengthy answer that someone has obviously put a lot of time and effort into replying too.
