Do you know any reliable, light and poweful Antivirus?

Hi janejaa.. Currently, I am using avira antivir personal classic edition. This can be downloaded free at their official website at www.free-av.com I have been using this software for almost two years. Since using this software, I have never had any problems at all with regards to the overall function and system performance of my machine. Otherwise, I am so impressed and grateful with its performance. It updates on a regular basis and this can be scheduled at your most convenient or spare time. It is very light on resources and does not use a lot of memory. Hence, does not slow down your computer. Hope this would help. Have a nice day!

see people will suggest you different AV programme but untill you use the one you cant validate the things ! then also you asked for suggestions ! then i am using AVG free since long and i am not facing any kind of problem with it ! its fast stable and easy ! the best feature it contains is doesnt hangs the system and activate instantly if virus found !

Try going to www.antivirus.com and do an online scan instead of downloading the whole software

I hate Norton with a passion. I recommend using Avast Antivirus or AVG. You can get them for free only. They provide with updates and everything. They are also a lot more lightweight and less resource intensive than Norton. Check out http://www.avast.com or http://free.grisoft.com.

As other members already said AVG free is great, light , reliable and free. I'm using it for years and it catches any virus I come across, I never had any problems or infections while using it. Also it updates daily and you can be always sure that you are protected from the latests viruses variations.

you may try nod32 from esset, its pretty light, I used to using NAV also, and it's heavy, its eat lot of my computer resource, than I just trying install NOD32, and it light I think, and the database update is pretty agresive also, almost everyday I got automatic update, give it a try janejaa.

go for avg lightest of all,but not efficient as norton,if i assume dat u r using 128mb ddr ram,den i suggest u to go for avg if u hav more than 128mb ram den go for zonealarm,it has the most efficient firewall with os firewall which not only protects ur pc but also applicatn ur using ,so malicious programs r virtually vulnerable,and virus scanning is as usually mediocre. if u do not care abit ur privacy n wud like to hav somewhat light firewall with very efficient virus protectn den kaspersky is the ultimate,it is light needs only 128mb min ram,not like norton with 256 as min n 384 as recommended

Use Symantec anti virus... that is the best..

the most reliable , light abd powerfull antivirus is avg 7.5 and most most reliable and powerfull antivirus is norton antivirus 2006 or 2007 both r good
