My utmost favorite manga-ka is Fujisaki Ryuu. He is a sci-fi geek and he loves writing about weird stuff. I really like the way he writes. His works are pretty much un-generic although people who are unfamiliar with him may find his works difficult to get into as well.

Well,Fujiryuu is really quite unknown in the English fandom. He's quite popular in Japan though since 1)he's a weekly jump manga-ka and 2) he wrote Houshin Engi and it's one of Jump's more popular manga.

I'm a CLAMP fan!
I think clamp has a perfect draw and great plots on manga.
I love all manga that was made by clamp that I read. I try to but all clamp mangas that was relesed in my country and when I learn japanese ( i have started japanese classes) I wish buy an manga collection that wasn't relesed here.

I love CLAMP's artstyle, but their storylines are sometimes too epic and angsty for my tastes. If you're into yaoi/BL, I find Taishi Zaou awesome. She has great comic timing, too.
I also love Yukine Honami, but she does collaborations with writers, so. *shrugs*

I, like all of you, also really love CLAMP, however I haven't read their mangas in a while. I also really like Kubo Tite. I wouldn't say I really have a favorite mangaka but whoever writes the best plots and draws nice is good in my mind. Some mangaka's art I really can't stand while other's I love, I suppose it depends on one's taste.

I like Watase Yuu (Fushigi Yuugi, Ayashi no Ceres, Zettai Kareshi, Imadoki), Yazawa Ai (Paradise Kiss, NANA, Tenshi Nanka ja nai) and Inoue Takehiko (Slam Dunk, Vagabond).

My favourite mangaka of course is Ai Yazawa (Yazawa-sensei for her fans haha) her most popular mangas are Paradise Kiss and Nana, both of them are very great (i think). By the way I enjoy Clamp's work, mangas like xXxHolic, CC Sakura are of my favourites of them. And by the way, they have an excelent artwork.
