ok this one is very interesting topic to be discusses.. I have got the CREATIVE speakers 5000 watts I am proud to be have them , great output.

well i think there are different brands and specifications depending on the price and requiremnets.. i think common ones are those from creative and altec lansec speakers.... more pricey ones are ones from Bode and Bang & Olufsen....they also have better sound quality...

of course, those high-end 7.1 speaker system from BOSE, Bang&Olufsen, B&W, Boston Acoustics,.. astonishingly high cost.

I have big huge Sony speakers. They're as wide as my body and as tall as me. There are two, one on each side of the television. And connected to those are small saround sound speakers in each corner of the living room.

Creative,bose,sony but hey unless you got a top of the range amp behind them you can forget it. Also I reckon the subwoofer is the key, without it it all sounds pretty ordinary.

I feel Creative Brand is very good regarding the Home Theaters. they are of good quality. BUtcostisalso little bit more.
