I love movies and I do remember some quotes from movies. One of my favorites is from "Titanic" when Jack tells Rose "Never let go of that promise" and she says "I will never let go, jack" Or When Jack says "to make each day count" And Rose replies "to making it count" as she raises her glass for a toast. So what are some of your favorite movie quotes, and from which movie?

I hope you get a lot of responses from this discussion because I'd be interested in hearing what others' favorite quotes from movies are. I agree and didn't even think about it, but everybody, me included say things from movies all the time and I think it's really funny. "Titanic" is good for all the quotes you mentioned. I get a laugh out of "A Few Good Men"s Jack Nicholson's character saying, "You want the truth? You can't handle the truth" and "Birdcage" when the character Robin Williams played said to his friend who was renovating his apartment to please the new in-laws, glanced at a big crucifix saying, "Who are we crucifying tonight?" I hope that doesn't offend anyone, but I've been laughing at that one ever since I first saw that movie. There's probably hundreds more, so many it's hard to remember them all. I like the serious ones too. Thanks for the question.

"Perfect love is rare indeed - for to be a lover will require that you continually have the subtlety of the very wise, the flexibility of the child, the sensitivity of the artist, the understanding of the philosopher, the acceptance of the saint, the tolerance of the scholar and the fortitude of the certain." ~Leo Buscaglia~

Lauren Bacall to Humphrey Bogart in 'To Have and Have Not': "If you need anything, just whistle. You know how to whistle, Steve?" "You just put your lips together ... and bloow."

Well this is kinda a kiddie movie but I love The Incredibles, at the end when the little boy says "That was totally wicked!" I laugh every time! Also from Independence Day, when when Will Smith is flying the alien aircraft and says "I have got to get me one of these!" Another I like is from Erin Brockovich: "You want me number...Which number do you want George...Oh I've got numbers coming out of my ears. For instance, 10...that's how many months my baby girl is. Yeah..sexy, Huh? How bout this for a number: six, that's how old my other daughter is. Eight is the age of my son. Two is how many times I've been married and divorced. Sixteen is the number of dollars in my bank account. 820-3943. That's my phone number and with all the numbers I just gave you, I'm guessing zero is how many times your going to call it." I love that scene!

A scene from the movie The Shawshank Redemption - A scene from the movie The Shawshank Redemption Tim Robbins & Morgan Freeman
One of my favorite lines is from the movie The Shawshank Redemption when Tim Robbins says to Morgan Freeman " Yeah. The funny thing is - on the outside, I was an honest man, straight as an arrow. I had to come to prison to be a crook."
