Here's my advice on how to lose weight. I lost 26 lbs about 5 years ago. I am thin. I'm 5'5" and around 115. I've had 2 babies and lost the weight each time and kept it off. Always watch your portion control. You can have a cookie, ice cream, cake, or whatever else you want but just have 1 cookie, 1 serving of ice cream, a little piece of cake, etc. Think of a serving of meat as the palm of your hand. That's what you should eat. If you have 100 calorie packs, just have one, not 2, 3, 4. You can have carbohydrates. They are good for you. Just don't eat a lot of them. Again, think portion control. Have your dressing on the side and dip your fork of salad in the dressing. Eat food with fiber. Drink 8-12 glasses of water a day. Get out there and exercise. Thirty minutes a day should do it. You have the time. We all have thirty minutes in our day. If you can't join a gym, get outside. It it's too cold, buy a dvd and do that. Incorporate weights into your workout routine. Muscle burns more calories so you want muscle. Don't undereat. This will hurt you as much as overeating. It messes up your metabolism. Good luck! If anyone else has anything to add, please do.
